That's some speed difference but personally I'm not that much into media so I would have prefered host mode instead. For fast transfer we could have used cardreaders. They are getting more popular these days, I even have one built into my laptop. Sure transfering 1GB through 12Mb/s would take a...
I know there are SDIO cards with both WiFi and storage. I don't know if there are cards that have USB or USB/storage.
What's the speed difference between USB 1.1 and 2.0?
Would be nice to see an Ext solution, preferable one that still allows a TV to be plugged in. HDDs are nice for movies and it would have been cool to link two units.
There's no host mode on GP2X. GPH put in a USB2.0 chip that doesn't have host mode. Host mode is needed to connect things like USB mice, HDDs, memory sticks etc.

Is that you from RGT?
I've heard that you can DRM lock games to a specific SD card instead of your GP2X, I don't know what GPH are planning. Personally I think that GHP should do something about the poor sods that breaks their units. For example you could send in your broken GP2X and all games you have bought are...
Scary for new users. You don't see someting like that on a PSP, GBA or DS game game etc. Problem with most programmers is that they can't make games for the average gamer. And who wanna bother with all those settings every time? I don't, I just wanna set the controlls and start playing. It also...
I don't think there will be many games sold without DRM protection. Simply put it any game gets pirated a lot because most people think that once they have got a game for free there's no reason to buy it. Unless of course they need a legal version to play online. There are loads of people making...
Um, the file system works similar to a regular PC as far as I understand it. How devs organise their files is up to them if you ask me. Same with names. Why would everyone call their save files the same? 1 save system may not even work for every type of game.
If you wanna put something that...
Yeah, it's simple to make a key config where you select an action and then press the button you want to bind. I don't like it when I have to scroll through a list of buttons for each action.

GPH won't sell boxed games, they will sell games for download with DRM protection which is the best solution for GP2X game distribution. I really have no idea how much they will take. They have an interest in keeping their share low because the more games they have for sale the...
First off £ and € are very different so don't mix them. Next I don't know what GPH will take when they sell games but it may be as high as 50%. If you try to sell your game on your own then not only are there extra work and costs but you won't be selling as many games because people won't find...
25ms sounds like a lot though. I have a 16ms monitor, there's almost no ghosting but things get a bit blurry when there's a lot of fast movements like when playing an FPS.
Although I prefer the wite one myself the first couple of batches will be black.
Yeah, all games should have full user defineable controlls. I hate it when games don't allow the player to change the controlls or have a few crappy settings to chose from.
I cosed the option "Paying flat rates isn't for me but I will donate" because at the moment I read that I didn't realise what you ment by that. I'm open for buying commercial games and I also want to make some. And I have donated in the past. Thing is that depending on the quality of the game I...
On GP2X A is left and B is right, that's why I want them as OK/Cancel. Would also do great as LMB/RMB is you are emulating a mouse. X is down and Y is up.
And my standards for games would be:
A: Fire
X: Jump/Throttle
B: Special
Y: Change weapon etc.
That's how I got my keyboard set up for SNES...
I'll be using A for OK and B for Cancel on GP2X. When it comes to anything else I'll rather spend some time with it and then decide rather then decide first and find out something better later.
Wifi would be nice not only for multiplay but for those who have a wifi in their house they could use it to get files from their PC, streeming movies anyone? And of course you can access the internet either on your own network or in places like universities, airports and some other public places...
Right now I want it most of all to play emulated games on it, that's how I found out about GP2X. 2nd comes the fact that I can develop for it and that's really something I'm looking forward to do. And I'll be intersted to see if there will be any good games comming for it be it homebrew or more...
