    Am I doing something wrong?

I've seen odd things happen with mplayer and some video files.  Generally if I use gl video rendering it helps. . . though I can't say I've tried that on the Pandora.

    Some more of my ideas

I may not have phrased that well.  With Cyanogen mod you're still tracked.  Pretty much with any version of Android out there you are. . . it just depends on who's tracking you.  Amazon, Google, etc.  But when you install Cyanogenmod you don't get the Google Play store by default, which for a...

    Some more of my ideas

I'd like to see HDMI. . . or something that can pass through to HDMI.  Hopefully *with* audio.  A single cable to the TV is really nice.  (I haven't kept up with all the usb/hdmi, dvi, etc. connectors out there.) I'd also like to see a dedicated tab key - would fit using the Linux console a bit...

    Some more of my ideas

As long as it's not the only option, I only see Android as a plus.  It'd be really awesome if you could side load the Google Play store ala Cyanogen mod.  This way Google won't watch you unless you let it.  If you let it, you get access to all the software available on the platform. . . and...

    Dragonbox website - errors

ED,   Just tried to add shipping and the little graphic just spins.  It never actually gets where it's going.  Is there an option to see price in $USD?    Cheers, & Luck with the transition!

ED,    How much better is the silver plastic than the black?

[Poll] What's best in the P1 - What should the P2 have?

TrashyMG, I'm guessing if there is a Pandora2 it'll be based off of a tablet / cell "mobo"/chipset that already exists and has Android running on it, so all the driver development is done. Pure conjecture on my part. This hypothetical beast would be differentiated by the controls - and...

    Pandora Rebirth Competition (2012-01-09)

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. Ivanovic's toolchain is working well for me. I'll probably stick with it - if it's not broken, don't fix it. :-b Ivanovic's toolchain seems to have a .pnd script maker, though I haven't messed with it yet. Just confirming the simple test programs will...

    Pandora Rebirth Competition (2012-01-09)

I tried downloading DJWillis's toolchain, and I seem to be getting a corrupt file. Is anybody else having troubles with it? (I've since gone to http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/58443-crosscompiler-toolchain-based-on-openpandora-org-ipks/page__p__936553&#entry936553 - and am...

    Pandora on Slashgear

I received two. I'm happy with both of them. Haven't been around for a bit - life and all that. I think interest for more casual Pandorans maybe waned a wee bit as deliveries hit hiccups. I'm hoping with all the new production setups that things go a LOT smoother and interest, even amongst...

    Stylus recalibration problem

I don't know how many versions of HF5 there are, but I used the .pnd and it worked just fine. Everybody has RW on that file. Edit: Still, for those having trouble with the configuration, it's probably worth putting this in the tips and tweaks as suggested.

    Pandora Testbed that emulates Pandora?

Blue, I think he means something like the android emulator Google provides you with for their development tools. VERY handy for doing development on the PC, and testing it there, even if you have a Pandora. I think somebody was looking at doing this, but I don't know how far it got...

Searching the best language/way to program games in 3D

Some places assume that you have a certain level of knowledge. I think if you started a "Newbie programmer's questions" thread on these forums, you - and anybody else who had questions - would get reasonable and patient answers. Maybe if the question had been answered a couple times already...

    Library questions

I think there's a pretty huge jump from 2d to 3d. I think you can be a GREAT 2d game programmer and still be at a complete loss as a 3d programmer. I'd definitely focus on getting some things working in 2d before taking on a 3d game. For one, 2d game programming generally deals with a grid...

    Library questions

I would recommend either SDL or QT. LazyFoo has a SMALL section on SDL with OpenGL, but it really does focus on 2D. One advantage of Qt as you head towards 3d is it's actively developed and supports GLES. SDL seemed to be heading in that direction with 1.3, but 1.3 hasn't seemed to go...

Would it be against the rules if I...

Jourdy, You might start with a simple e-mail to Craig / OpenPandora asking if they'd be open to the idea of you putting together a proposal. An actual business plan like proposal, rather than a forum thread. They're the ones with the... well, not purse strings, call it control strings...

    More numbers, late again :) (2011 - 04 - 05)

I guess it depends WHY one was purchasing the Pandora. At the time they were doing pre-orders we DID expect to have one of the first Omap3 devices, making it cutting edge. It's no longer cutting edge; however, anything it could've done then can pretty much be done now. All the emulators will...

Just got my shipping confirmation for my batch1 order - NOT the premium one. I forget my position in line, but I THINK it's in the forums somewhere.

    More numbers, late again :) (2011 - 04 - 05)

vadsamoht, While this works well with desktops, as you get smaller it becomes more problematical to do this...especially given the turn over times of consoles - and not just the OpenPandora. How many years have the DS and PSP been out there? I could see an incremental update to a faster...
