How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

I believe it meant the file on the PC (could unshare the folder first), then reattach to the share (after you've re-shared it). It didn't say much, but the guy just copied the file to a new name. Deleted the old one and renamed the copy. This meant it wasn't attached to any lists. Saying that...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

Netsharing your way out of the USB network to "the big wide wide world" is something that I've not got to yet! Although I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. :) Not sure about the name resolution... Could be something to do with the problem. You could start from scratch by re-flashing with...

    Break Out Board/boxand Usb Drives.

Duly noted :) I'll have to try 4 drives next then, just to see! I'll have a play with the options. I think the power supply with come in handy this weekend! So, USB Host (Always on), then USB Storage (Always on) and then the AutoMount NAND. Reboot with the BoB connected and HD spinning, see...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

Not really all that sure what's going on! What command are you sending to the 2x though the telnet session to try and remount the command? I am assuming that you've insmod'ed the samba files that you copied over before you tried to re-mount the PC share (I forgot that part last time :) )

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

The format of the shared folder doesn't matter. My share is NTFS and the 2x sees all and runs all the files from there with no issue at all. *smile* It's always the little things we overlook! Sadly I'm no Linux expert (far from it), but I believe (and I'm semi guessing here) that you'll need...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

Is your PC really called "PC." ? and does it have a share on it called sd2? (just checking, I know that sounds silly to ask) You could try replacing the PC. name with the IP address of the machine (that is the address on the other end of the USB lead, if that makes sense :) ) Ben ---

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

It sounds like you're in the root user folder. Use a cd.. a couple of times and you'll get back to the folder with the "mnt" folder in it. What was the excat command you issued over the telnet for the mount command?

Visual Studio would get my vote, although I've started using DevC++ and it's not all that bad to play with.

    Break Out Board/boxand Usb Drives.

Sadly that hasn't worked for me. If I have the auto mount on, then turn on the USB Host and Storage, I get the same thing, nothing appearing in my EXT folder/interface. The drive I'm using is formatted FAT32, at least I believe it is. I'll have to double check in a moment. It's currently...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

Glad you got it working :-) In case you need to need to share a different folder, right click on it and click "Sharing and Security" From there you can set it to "Shared This Folder" and set the name it'll be shared as. Depending on what you're using (XP has "Simple" and not "Simple" sharing...

    Break Out Board/boxand Usb Drives.

Hhmmmpppph, so I'm doing something wrong somewhere then. So what excatly is it the firmware does? Does it mount the first USB drive it comes across as EXT or as a folder (from what I read) in EXT as sd0 or sd1? My EXT "drive" is totally empty once I've started up the storage and USB host. sing...

    Break Out Board/boxand Usb Drives.

I assume you're using FW2 as well, that right? Yep, you'll need the filtering. As shown on the Wiki page. The signal is to "dirty" otherwise.

    Break Out Board/boxand Usb Drives.

Hello there, A while ago I made myself a EXT2 to Serial/USB board, with FW v1.4 and ARTaylors "Userfiles" to kick the infterface into life, it worked and the the USB drive was mounted as EXT in the menus (as the mount.gpe tells it to). Since I've updated to FW2 the drive is no longer mounted...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

OK, you can get to it several ways. The easiest is to click "Start" then "Run" and enter "\\gp2x\gp2x" into the box that's appeared. This should (if all is right) pop up an exporer window that is the root of GP2x (at least the Linux root, I believe that's what it's called, I'm a Windows man...

How Can I Access Windows Folder From 2x?

Which page in the Wiki are you looking at? Or rather what commands are you issuing over the Telnet session? I had some problems with connecting to my \\gp2x\gp2x\ share as I needed to enter a particular username (root, with no password) which had to be done using a CMD prompt. Is your PC...

The new betas look the folder the .gpe starts from (I believe) If you look at the top of the rom browser there should be a ".." entry use that to browse up the folder structure to the root of your SD card, then into the roms folder. Once you've got the megadrive roms folder listed you should...

    How's Amiga Emu Looking?

 More? After that long list of goodies and you're getting more? Lucky you :) How large is your study/house? ;) To stay on topic, UAE4All does have a few limitations, as Iorgy77 mentions, the saving doesn't work (at least last time I tried it) although that doesn't stop the fun.
