I have recently been running FBA2X for the wiz to run all the NeoGeo games. The problem I'm having and I'm sure it's for everyone is that huge .fba games like 90+ meg ones for KOF2003 and Metal Slug 3 run slow as ass. I tried it off of my SD card and NAND. What I want to know is if others are...
I have recently been having issues with all the Wolfteam games. They were always working fine. Honestly I haven't played them much since I got my Wiz. However they were working perfectly fine on the GP2X. I know they need the better sync enabled to run. I have tried different rips of my CD...
I would love to play Elevator Action Returns! It's one of my favorites on the Sega Saturn. However for the arcade, it's running on Taito's F3 system hardware. Sadly it requires a pretty beefy PC to run at full speed in MAME. I know Raine and I think Final Burn Alpha also runs these games...
Yeah some games take a bit of knowledge to get working. A lot of FDI or FDD or whatever other floppy format disks need to be installed first. Also a lot of hdi files going around aren't made to boot. You need to mount the dos floppy disk utility to the floppy drive for quite a few games...
Sorry, what I meant to say is that I haven't seen the source code for the GP2X port. I know that the source code is available for the original on Windows, and probably most of the other handhelds, phones and systems it's been ported to. Just would be easier to port if there was probably the...
Well for PC-98 it has always been an issue of source code. There isn't one from the GP2X port as far as I could find. Wonderswan I am not sure. It sure would be nice though
Short answer for the Wiz is no. Yeah it's 533mhz, but it's a totally different ARM processor. The ARM processor in the Pandora is a higher end processor. Also the Pandora has the PowerVR which really helps out for PSX emulation. The Wiz doesn't have a good GPU. The only 32bit emulation I...
I always use savestates as raindog mentioned. It's the easiest and safest way to save your game. Yes, the SRAM does not always work but I still use it. It seems if you just turn off the Wiz after doing a SRAM save in game it will not save. Now if you are in Chrono Trigger and save at a save...
Wow this is great news! Finally something nice to run Amiga OS 4 on! The customizable chips sounds like a good idea but I wonder how well it will fare. Also I wonder what the deal is with the CPU. They are secretive about it for some reason. Thanks for the info Magic Sam!
That's a great idea and I'd love to see Raine on a handheld. I always liked it better than MAME, especially back in the late 90's. It was so fast, but that's because it was quite heavy in assembly for x86 platforms. So I'm not sure how much faster it would be than Final Burn is on handhelds...
The browser list being cut down happens to me as well but not every time. I haven't had it happen to me in weeks actually. It happens but not that often for me. Maybe you guys are just using FB2x more than me?
I just want to say that I'm loving this frontend. I appreciate all the work that has gone into this so far. The only problem that I am having is with one program. Outcast will not work with this. It just loads a black screen. Every emu or app that I have linked works. It doesn't matter if...
Thank you very much for this release! It's great to see some classic stuff I started out playing! It works great and I am not def! Thanks for adding that little part for the sound volume. I don't know how many times I pulled my headphones off screaming in pain.
I did find a page that has source code for ARM related palm devices. So this might help. The np22x source would be better but that seems like it's next to impossible to get a hold of since the author never posted it anywhere and his page is gone. So here is the link if anyone happens to have...
Is anyone having compatibility issues with this release. I am having loads of games not working for me now. (especially Enix games) I am wondering if it has anything to do with the snesadvance.dat speed hacks file. I am thinking it might be breaking compatibility. I have tried all different...
The mmuhack.o file is for the GP2X. The mmuhack.ko is for the WIZ. The mmuhack.ko file should already be implemeted and come with the pocketsnes emulator.
I'm not sure how the new optimizations for mode-7 and transparencies are being implemented, but the GP2X doesn't use pollux. So I'm not sure what could be added to the GP2X port. I'm sure the mode-7 and transparency optimizations could be added to the GP2X port.
I could be wrong, but the reason pal games are working faster might be because of the speedhacks .dat file that is now implemented. It could be wanting to call up a pal from for the hacks, so if you're using a U or J version that is NTSC it won't use the speed hack.
