Dosbox Games You're Looking Forward To

Very yes. Even though I know that at least Riva will be unplayably slow, it'll be great to mind-control most enemies in the game and to become obscenely rich through the Gashok-Tiefhusen trade route. Albion is also a good idea. Of course UFO: Enemy Unknown and its standalone mission pack will...

    Sd Card Database?

Well, there was a corruption issue that seemed to occur more often with some brands than others. I think Sandisk was mostly unaffected. Of course if the issue is no longer around (perhaps taken care of in one of the hotfixes) that would simplify things.

    Sd Card Database?

Yes, it's yet another SD card thread but I noticed that it's pretty hard to actually find good data on which SD cards are known to work well with the Pandora and which tend towards issues. In fact, I don't even know whether the SD card corruption issue is still relevant. Perhaps we could start...

    Fungp

US export policy in the case of Korea. For a while the USA considered encryption tools/algorithms to be equivalent to munitions and subjected them to export bans if they were too powerful (read: strong enough to do anything useful). Korea wanted to create a homebanking system but decided that...

    Libflashplayer.so

As for the name, I'd also go with "Red Panda". It is, after all, the animal Firefox was named after.

    Latex

First of all, of course, LaTeX is not a text editor, it's a typesetting system. Test editors are for entering text; typesetting systems are for formatting it. Office software tries to do both at the same time and it's good enough for, well, office use but I wouldn't try to write a book in Word...

The usual I cancel and you suck compilation

Sorry, no. I made the last one and while I coud have made it bigger, it would've looked exactly as if I had merely scaled it up. It's pretty hard to get shots of a specific scene in a specific movie at a high resolution on the net (gee, I wonder why).

The usual I cancel and you suck compilation

After waiting for almost two decades without any trustworthy update concerning the planning and delivery times of the Pandora project (save for those given by the team but they don't count), I have to set some kind of deadline for my own peace of mind. I'm going to wait until 1-1-2101. If my...

Get Those Space Boots On And Help Me!

If you speak German or can get a hold of any kind of translated version, Space Patrol would be a recommendation. Arguably the best German science fiction TV series from the 1960s.

    I Feel Down

If by "dream machine" you mean "fairly good" then I guess MBPs qualify. Well, except for the low number of USB ports and the positively shitty screens of the unibody 13" MBP (hello, ghosting). The build quality's pretty good though and Apple has a very nice power connector. Oh, and my iPod touch...

Wizzley Presto And The Mysterious Time Machine

Everything gets pirated. It's an artifact of living in an age where it's trivial to make perfect copies of certain things.I doubt that it's going to lose Craig much money – most reasonable studies point out that many pirates wouldn't have bought the game in the first place. And even the Humble...

German Orders - Estimating Numbers Shipped

No, that depends on the relative density of Pandora orders in ED's shop. While I expect the ratio to be fairly high, values as low as 0.5 (every other order includes a Pandora) seem reasonable. So, even though I'm number 275x (September 2008*) I think they'll need to produce anything between 800...

    Devil 64 Newest News

What do you mean with "also"? Since a RISC is a RISC is a RISC he just uses a DreamCast emulator core to run the N64 code. As it's all RISC code translating it is trivial but unfortunately requires 295 megabytes of lookup tables. Which are implemented in music notation because that' obviously...

    Openpandora Team: Get More Sleep

I say we just send over a couple Care Bears. He'll fit right in.

    Openpandora Team: Get More Sleep

Hey, perhaps we can compromise on eight hours once a week. And no, neither "eight hours distributed over the week" nor "eight hours once offset by no sleep at all for the rest of the week" count.

    Op: You Did Well!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why Pandora Angst of the when-will-I-get-mine variety is completely pointless (well, unless you really do need yours in a specific timeframe). Pestering the devs about how fast they work isn't going to help production and even if you need to wait another two...

    Bad Sound Quality

Seeing that the Pandora doesn't have any twisty knobs the lack of proper Pong is clearly a hardware issue. I really expect you to do better with the Pandora 2, which should at the very least have two twisty knobs, a full-size ten-button force-feedback analog joystick, a steering wheel with...

    Bad Sound Quality

Well, ALSA is the de facto sound API for Linux. You could try to patch OSS v4 into the kernel and use ALSA emulation on top of that (as most software is going to expect ALSA functions) but I think it's unlikely to improve much.
