CoinOp: Try pulling the plastic nub from the stick a bit, that removed most of my screen pressure problems.
torpor: what do you want, an Ipod nano or a gp2x?
If you want to build stuff,
http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/Getting_started_...P2X_development
everything is there.
And GPH did release an SDK... sort of
http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GPH_SDK
I was able to build modules for the GP2X using that SDK.
If you are going to try to rebuild gplayer, I would...
Why create yet another container format to replace AVI, when moving to MKV would be better?
btw, mplayer(what the gp2x's player is based from) support mkv.
Hard subs suck if you want to enlarge the video(ex. fullscreen playback).
Since soft subs(correctly done) are draw on the fly, they will look much sharper when scaled. Softsubs also eat more resouces(cpu and ram) from your system, specialty if you are using ass/ssa with karaoke and custom...
Yeah, I should have used /dev/sd* (where * is your gp2x/card read) but that would have been annoying to type/read after the 3rd time.
Also, if you have any scsi devices, they will show up as /dev/sd* too.
GPH's kernel doesn't have support for networking. A flash with a custom kernel would be required to get cdc_ether/CDCEther (or usbnet if we can get a port of the 2.6 kernel) working.
I just noticed the fact that you can see Shana's pink panties in Drak's sig.
FFNoir: Yaoi is evil becuase it is what crazy fangirl like to use to torture us guys with. Turture, as in being forced to QC yaoi ep for a group that would never release hentai. Apperently, hentai(Guy x Girl) is wrong...
Good News: :)
We can load modules into GPH's kernel.
I was able to load a reiserfs module
Bad News: :(
GPH's kerner doesn't have network support. And that can't be added as a module.
Only way to fix this is to flash your gp2x with a custom kernel.
I would love to do that, but uboot hates my...
Iorgy77: Look at the size of his avatar.
Size of File: 509.53 KB (521761 bytes)
It is larger than the sig.
Drak: As much as I like shana, your sig is causing me epileptic attacks.
Looks like there are 2 versions of the 1.0.1 firmware. One you dowload of GPH's site and one in the new batch of GP2x.
PSyMastR: I can mount my card in Linux using the GP2X's usb connection, but I have had instabilities with it. My gp2x crashed when I was coping a large file(200mb XviD avi to...
I know this might sound stupid but... are you sure that /dev/sda is the correct device?
Try pluging your reader, plug in the card, and type dmesg | tail you should get something like
SCSI device sda: 2012160 512-byte hdwr sectors (1030 MB)
sda: Write Protect is off
sda: Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00...
