iCP2: They're throwing in the towel.

Would the fact that he's essentially told his pre-orderers to "go fish" give you some indication that he might do the same again with this project? For goodness sake, I really wanted to sit this discussion out but this line of thinking is about to give me an aneurysm. When you read the comments...

You Really Should Be Using Virtual Desktops

I appreciate the effort that goes into PandoraLive and I sometimes learn something useful (to me). However, I don't appreciate the style of writing in the article and think it undermines the appeal of the content. Just one readers feedback.

    Release Open Arena

I don't know, but I can verify that when you change some of the settings, it pukes. I haven't got the hang of the nubs that well, and definitely not for OA. The lack of clarity for the display pretty much makes it unplayable for me. I'm sure for other nub masters it is fine.

PVR to record broadcast TV (usa)

I used Myth for many years until we went digital. Then the cost for compatible tuners and the complexity of the setup outweighed the benefit. Every OS update or Myth update broke something and the best I was going to do with Xfinity or FIOS was to pull off an analog signal and the cabling and...

    Release Open Arena

It was already set to 2. Why can't the brightness be adjusted in the game using setup? Why is it disabled? There is a separate setting for gamma in the setup. Are you sure it is the same thing as brightness?

Audio, no video when playing video files

After more fooling around, I've gotten them to work partially with some files. I installed vlc2 and it seemed to play most files. I was trying to see which (if any) of the video players would output the audio to bluetooth. Gnome Mplayer output the audio, but it was terrible on video and playing...

Audio, no video when playing video files

It only went to full screen in SMPlayer2 and it made no difference. Video is still solid green. In Gnome Player all the full screen, etc. options are grayed out.

Audio, no video when playing video files

Most of my video files were encoded for iPhone. I think these all played fine on my P previously. I reinstalled the codec pack, searched the forums and what is left of the wiki and can't find a solution. I've tried with Gnome Mplayer and SMPlayer 2 from the repo. Same result. The audio plays...

    Community codec pack alternative link

Yes, why useful material was deleted with no redirect and the dead links are still up on the main is beyond me. Another example of a self-inflicted wound that scares off new customers and discourages owners from trying to solve their own problems. Agreed that it is frustrating.

    Release Open Arena

This is really dark for me. The brightness control under setup is disabled. Is there a fix?

TV Out Cable: Time to Mass produce! (2013-06-22)

A displaylink type usb to VGA/HDMI converter will work much better for a monitor. I have the Diamond VGA/DVI/HDMI and I am really satisfied with it.

    Bounty: Lil Red Notebook

Not really. I was thinking the same thing, but Evernote will be a bit cumbersome for what she is trying to do. I use an app called Growly Notes on my mac that is a One Note clone. It would work well, but is not open source. I suggest that you google "one note Linux". I saw a couple of...

1- Simple Audio Recorder? 2- USB Microphone?

I can't find this: in mixer controls (the little icon on your taskbar), choose 'select controls' and then tick 'left input source' and 'right input source' then in the main screen you should now see a new tab called 'options'. Click on it. I see the mixer toolbar. I don't see any option to...

    Release Firefox 23.0.1 in repo

Again, you make assumptions... Since this has nothing to do with the thread topic. I'm done.

    Release Firefox 23.0.1 in repo

Maybe in your corporate context. We use it as do may of our partners. How often changes come out has nothing to do with when we roll them out.

    Agreed. Thanks hdonk.

    Release Enemy Territory: Legacy

Thanks. I don't think I fool with an omnibot server. I will wait until we are supported. This may encourage me to blow the dust off ET on my MBPR.

    Release Enemy Territory: Legacy

No joy so far. I untared the linux version but couldn't seem to find the files. I installed the windows version and copied the files that were available in etmain and legacy that matched your listing. Still couldn't find several of them. It runs and I connected to a server and it downloaded...
