    Android gingerbread in a pnd?

Sorry to be a dope, but I've looked in the repo, the wiki and here, but I don't see any information on how to install apps like Netflix. The Android pnd runs fine and I got networking setup. As there is no app for the play store on the Android desktop, I used the browser, but it doesn't...

Thinking of buying, would like your advice

Isn't the discussion entertaining... As a new owner, nothing to add. As a reader of these forums, it sounds like some significant progress is being made on the wifi that you might want to read about.

    (SOLD) 1Ghz Pandora for sale+extras -S. America

As we don't have seller feedback, just thought I would post a note here. What a great seller. We negotiated a fair price. He shipped the morning after I made payment. He not only provided tracking, but checked with the post office to make sure that all was well. He responded to all communication...

    Pocketable or Comfortable

I think the idea of getting good quality sound out of a device this size with as much other hardware as the P has is a dead end street. My tendency would be to go with a single speaker with reasonable sound and continue to focus on quality audio using the jack or Bluetooth connection to real...

I agree, looks very cool. (Google Nexus 7 owner, and I'm also not sorry).

    Scan lines filter?

I saw this one on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VGA-Scanline-Generator-SLG-Transform-your-PC-display-into-an-arcade-monitor-/130901631375?pt=US_Video_Game_Cables_Adapters&hash=item1e7a58618f

    Pocketable or Comfortable

Pocketable is relative. I think the point would be to make it as small as it can be and still be useful. A keyboard that you can at least thumb type on comfortably and a screen that you can see. A bit larger would be fine as long as the P doesn't turn in to a sub-notebook. There are plenty of those.

    Improving the flash experience

One of my favorite flash sites is USTVNOW. A search here doesn't bring up any references. If one of you folks outside the US is set up for flash, I would appreciate your trying it out http://www.ustvnow.com It is free and you might find it handy if you don't already use it. It works on all my...

    Improving the flash experience

No magic, it just opens FF so you can play the flash. Yes it will use some RAM. It is mainly a convenience to prevent opening/closing/cutting/pasting. I am in complete agreement that it would be better to add flash to Qupzilla. FF has always been a hog and likely always will be. I'm less...

    Improving the flash experience

I thought I would share a little information in hopes that a developer might take a look at this. Google no longer offers flash via Google Play for the latest Jelly Bean and the Chrome available for JB also does not support it. The solution, install a flash package available outside Play and...

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

I'm not an expert, but it appears that the TBTT and Listen intervals could be an issue. If there is as much variability as yours is showing on a slower connections it could cause timeouts and retransmits and chaos will ensue. I think your intent was to increase the window before power saving...

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

That is a lot of variation on a local network. Not sure what else is connected and generating traffic, but if you were isolated with just your P on the net, you would not expect to see that kind of range.

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

Thanks. When I get my P I will check it out. I would prefer something that runs native on Angstrom, but will go for what works.

TV Out Cables, new forum sections and partly-broken units (2013-05-24)

If the bottom half of the case with a simple headless setup would make it an external battery charger, that would work. Maybe be a bit of overkill, but it really doesn't matter if the case is scratched, etc and as long as the device provides power, the rest of the components really don't matter.

Efficient Agenda and Organizer for the Pandora ?

I'm interested in this as well. I use Google Calendar for all my personal scheduling. I would be interested in one that synchronizes well with Google.

Can somebody (I) host a repo mirror?

Excellent point. I meant on some regular cycle in a non-peak period. Maybe there is no such time.

A close second would be editing your first post so the instructions are all in one place. Regardless, thanks for your work.

Some fine OpenArena. UP blows, but the game looks good.

How to install Android on your Pandora

Agreed. However, I do think the appreciation does help them decide which project to devote their time to. Regardless, my point was that we non-programmers ought to put our money where our text is and support the developers who spend their time creating or porting the apps we use.
