World Of Goo Linux Version Available

Those are the ones Tungsten and Intel made. While I have the highest respect for them, they're just now fielding something that will extract real performance out of GPUs- Gallium3D. It's going to be a bit before they get that 535 driver going well. In theory, it should paste our GPU and do...

I'm not into what EA would require of us to have this game on Pandora. As for Majesty... Heh... It might just happen. I do know someone who would happen to have a Linux specific port of it that might be convinced if other ports go well and then do well... ;) Uh...nice thought, but unlikely...

It goes without saying that TheGoodDoktor DOES make a very good point here. ;) To be sure, I'd love to see some of those get scooped up if it's possible. Heh...keep dreaming... This is Vivendi you're talking about here... :D It'd be one thing if there were 50k pandoras out in the field. 4k...

Announce: Caster Coming To Linux (and Therefore...pandora...)

 It's completely okay... I'm familiar with that experience. :D It's my understanding that there shouldn't be any fixes needed overall for the subsequent episodes. If there is, I'll try to make them as minimal and painless as possible on the Pandora/Linux side of things. :D

Actually, the GMA is a weaker part compared to the SGX. It doesn't do T&L amongst other things. I'd say that the odds are good that we might see a real version thereof. They've said they were interested but they're swamped so they'll put it to one side until they find time or can be convinced...

    My Dreamcast Port, Where Next?

Heh... The case insensitive one brings all sorts of issues with itself. It's only when you've done off things and expect it to work all the time that it ends up being a pain. As for OpenAL, I hope you simply ifdefed that out... It's about to grace Pandora because I need it for my stuff. :D

It's the same deal for ALL versions of the title- including the price. However, don't expect to buy the Windows, MacOS, or Linux version and then expect the Pandora version to be free. I don't know how he wants to handle that aspect of things. Heh... By the way, royalty structure...

    1) It might have been sweetheart deals. 2) They may have waved a quarter mil under their noses, either per title or for both of them. If you know someone high enough up in the publisher and can sell them, they can get your foot in the door and you can get a sniff of a port project at the least...

Then you've got at least a snowball's chance in hell of getting it... :D Oftentimes studios, so long as the publishing deals don't preclude it, are MUCH more amenable to things like Linux and/or Pandora ports. (For them, unless you're talking about someone like iD or Epic, this segment...

They're more than interested in something, but they're concerned that it'd run on the Pandora properly. The game's pretty physics calculation heavy and they're unsure if it'd work on any handheld right at the moment. For now, yes. Later on might be a different story. As it stands, quite a few...

Heh... Couldn't be any worse than the pharmacist that'd gotten the wrong media (5.25" as opposed to the 3.5" they were supposed to get) and then proceeded to fold the media into fourths and insert it into his DME management machine... NEVER underestimate end users. Make something fool-proof...

Casual Games On Openpandora [ Yes / No ]

I was just picking on you there... ;) Yeah, it's really cool that real studios as well as many, many indies worth having do things for us are interested in what's been done. There's actually quite a bit of people watching this from the sidelines right at the moment. QUOTE Anyway, maybe...

Casual Games On Openpandora [ Yes / No ]

Yeah, but the iPhone's more constrained and the API's are...interesting. I certainly won't tell anyone to not target it, but some titles just simply won't go there. Moreover, if you do this "right" you don't have to put much effort out for Pandora support. Do a Linux port. Account for deltas...

That'd be Gimp or CinePaint, if that were the case... I largely don't use Windows. Ever. ;) QUOTE I kid, I kid. Looks nice. You're implementing the touch screen and everything, right? I don't know about touch screen- it'd probably be difficult to play it on a Pandora that way. However...
