    Gp32 Revival Coding Compo Launched

A tumbleweed simulator is what really should be coded :)

Grass Roots Efforts To Promote Wiz Development?

You didn't answer my question! Edit: Why are you so hostile? You've been here for nearly four years, can't you tell that we're all people working on stuff for fun and for entertaining others? Why do you feel the need to be so scathing?

    Giana's Return Is Out

Incredible work Giana Team, the game is of professional quality :) I can't wait to give it a good run this evening. Just a small suggestion, start the default volume lower. It seems to run fine under Open2x, albeit slower.

Grass Roots Efforts To Promote Wiz Development?

You're all heart torpor. And what exactly would be a good title, or a good developer for that matter? Please tell us, I genuinely want to know. A consistent portion of the people who download software are already registered on these forums or the archive, so leaving a little thank-you note...

    Some Wiz Pc Wallpapers

Where did she get the large Wiz logo from? Or did she trace it herself from an image? I like the fire one best, although it would look much nicer without the emboss on the logo.

Grass Roots Efforts To Promote Wiz Development?

Iprice is right, the amount of feedback people leave on software is a joke. Emulators and ports of popular commercial games are an exception as always, but that's beside the point.

    Can't Get Emulators To Work

Wiz does not run GP2X software, only download things from the Wiz archive.

    What's Occupying Your Wiz?

The new graphics look great Iprice, can't wait to play this. :) Will it have a level editor?

    New Sdl Libraries Found

The performance is very bad. Blix2x maxes out at 41fps, not funny on a 530MHz cpu :P I hope this is the old software solution, and an OpenGL-powered fix is still on the way. Games that don't have moving screens don't really suffer from tearing, in this case you only notice it when the screens...

    Gp2X First Version

As far as firmwares go, you should put on Open2x. It's superior to all official firmwares and installation is a breeze. If you want to go with an official firmware, then get 2.0.0 and then patch it to 2.1.0. Firmwares beyond this point started to have significantly longer boot times, so 2.1.x...

    Sdl Touchscreen Broken?

    I use it in Blix2x, as a mouse: // setup int mouseX; int mouseY; int mouseTap; SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_VIDEO | SDL_INIT_JOYSTICK | SDL_INIT_TIMER | SDL_INIT_AUDIO); SDL_Surface* screen = SDL_SetVideoMode(320, 240, 16, SDL_SWSURFACE); // called every game loop SDL_Event event; mouseTap = 0...

    Pandora Pandora Panic

Why not make it easy for yourself and convert palettized stuff to the truecolor format you use everywhere else? There really is no technical point for anyone to keep using real 8bit graphics, there is barely any on the GP2X, and certainly none on the contemporary handhelds :)

    Gmenu2X

Did GPH ever respond to people's feedback about this? Perhaps a compromise could be reached, with three autorun options: Off, Once, and Always. Once would have the current behaviour, and Always would launch autorun.gpu each time gp2xmenu is called, even after the first firmware boot.

    How Do You Overclock?

I put together a simple step-by-step guide on writing an overclocking script. It's in the wiki: http://gp2xwiz.co.uk/wiki/How_To_Create_An_Overclock_Script Please feel free to correct any mistakes if any slipped.

    Inimaker

Ah, there you go. I assumed for simplicity's sake that everyone will put their games and emulators in "game". I'll make an option for the scanner to look everywhere on the SD card sometime in the near future then. :)

    Inimaker

I downloaded PicoDrive from the archive, put all its files in "game/Picodrive", and ran INImaker. The link created fine and it picked up the icon. Are you sure PicoDrive is somewhere in the "game" folder? This really should just work, maybe your SD is corrupt, it can happen. If you use Windows...

    Inimaker

The last build didn't really look for icons, it just expected them to have a certain name. Try launching INImaker again, and press B to start the icon finder. Are there any .png files in the folders where no icons are found?

    Tetwiz

The reason I think it would be better is because it would be faster. Let's say you want to move a piece only one space: you need to press the button and then let go of it, instead of only needing to press it. It's natural to let go of a pressed button, but I'm just not used to doing so fast...

    Blastriot Release For Wiz

Nice one satacoy, I love playing this on the GP2X, it's a very polished game. I think it would work particularly well via TV-out, if it were available. Looking forward to your arena shooter by the way. :)

    Tetwiz

Cool tetris game, the graphics look beautiful. I like the effect when you clear a line, it's a nice touch. One suggestion, it seems like moving the pieces left and right only takes effect after you let go of the buttons - the controls would feel more responsive if the pieces moved as soon as...
