I think the two are different enough to warrant different sections. Besides, the GP2X still has a living scene with a handful of new releases every now and then. Poor GP2X is actually more future-proof than expected :)
I don't think so. The only point is to allow users to link against different versions of the LGPL library in question (in this case, SDL), so providing the compiled object files will suffice. Debatable of course, but nobody seems to give anyone a hard time about these things in this community...
Lazy Foo's SDL tutorials are exactly what you need. I think any C++ book would be good enough, as long as you start small and build from there you will do well.
Good luck!
Well here is what I see, looks fine to me but maybe each distro ships with different default fonts. I actually heard a lot of complains about this before I tried Linux, and was pleasantly surprised when I finally did.
Depends on your needs of course. I've been running Debian for over a year and don't miss Windows one bit. Centralized software repositories and multiple desktop workspaces should be enough to win anybody over IMO, and those are only two of the many niceties it has to offer.
I would use fprintf(stderr, "__1\n") instead of printf, because printf is buffered. It could be that "__1\n" is reached after all, but never printed on the screen because the program segfaults immediately after.
Check that init_sdl_local() doesn't call unsupported things. The screen surface...
What is the reason behind news posts needing approval? How many were not approved in the last few years? I think it would be more practical to remove the few than to block the many, something to think about maybe.
We could always make our own... :) That's the whole point of homebrew isn't it? To fill missing voids.
That said, King's Bounty is an incredible game I can never get tired of :)
Trooper, you're one of the nicest people around this place, I wish you good luck getting the most out of your life. Also, try your hardest to avoid treatments that try to peddle meds of any kind.
See you soon, pal :)
The groups are done! Let's hear some knockout predictions, here's mine:
Uruguay - Korea
SUA - Ghana
Paraguay - Japan
Brazil - Chile
Mexico - Argentina
England - Germany
Slovakia - Holland
Portugal - Spain
This game is so addictive and polished, I play it all the time on GP2X :)
Tell me, what does Pandora's SDL do if you give it a 320*240 or 640*480 surface with the SDL_FULLSCREEN flag as you seem to do? Does it center it in the middle of a black screen as it is, or does it do any kind of...
Mine is from November 2008 (time flies what the hell) and the screen still looks perfect. Could it be because I didn't really use it very much? Those photos above look awful, wow
