    It's the keyboard layout.

I'm not a coder but I think the Pyra becomes a more universal device to many more people if the numbers are on the top layer rather than behind modifier(s).

    Predictions of emulators.

He just wanted a straight answer, and I wasn't overburdened by offering him it in a link, even if it was after he skedaddled.   We can be polite to newcomers with or without her presence(she's probably lurking around her anways). ;)

    Predictions of emulators.

I'm talking about your latest post just now and your previous one and that it took less effort on my part to actually answer the thewitcherman3's opening question than to explain his lack of forum etiquette. Not everyone spends the amount of hours that some do in forums and may not know yet how...

    Predictions of emulators.

His question took all of a few seconds to answer by my previous post than the time it took for you to reprimand him.

    Predictions of emulators.

For thewitcherman3 and any others new folks left curious about the initial question regarding what to expect from the Pyra, this thread may give you a first line idea: http://boards.openpandora.org/topic/17936-how-far-can-emulation-go-pyra-vs-pandora/

    Action button labels, again

Nintendo or Microsoft's legal departments could answer that but I'd rather we not ask the question by using one of their schemes in the first place. I also don't want NSEW for the action buttons, unless the Pyra will play double duty as a compass.

How far can emulation go? (Pyra vs. Pandora)

That's very encouraging. Although I play Gamecube/Wii and PS2 on my laptop, the older games have more allure and are more immersive for me. A good story and solid gameplay beats out the graphics race of today's games usually every time. I always go back to the classics. At the moment it's 80's...

How far can emulation go? (Pyra vs. Pandora)

Soul Calibur and Ocarina. If those play as good or better...

Doubt ED gave it a second glance.

    Action button labels, again

For those who owned a Pandora, A was Home, B was End, and Y and X were PgUp and PgDn. They are beyond easy to recollect which is which and I see no reason to put itty bitty tiny letters, or symbols, on each face button. Same goes for the shoulder triggers. It isn't THAT difficult to remember the...

    Action button labels, again

He's talking about - for flathead and + for screw(phillips screwdriver).

    Action button labels, again

As long as it's understood I was speaking of the Pandora's layout.
  14. Saber

    Action button labels, again

Some parts of the Pandora layout arguably aren't very good on paper: Start/Select columned instead of side by side, brightness controls near Fn, one keyboard Shift, Comma and Period on left, and Spacebar on the right. Over time though those who have used a Pandora have found the keyboard...

    Action button labels, again

It's not as if any of these redesigns will be seriously considered. All for the expressive aspect of it though.

    Action button labels, again

We can have all of those without hiding them under modifiers.
  18. Saber

    It's the keyboard layout.

As obvious as a nose on a face. It's not like anyone sane officially involved here would seriously pander to a construct of putting comma and period behind Shift.
  19. Saber

    Action button labels, again

To restate, for apparent legal reasons we cannot use one of the "other" button arrangements that people want. People are talking as they always do but I do not foresee ED changing the Pandora's ABYX no matter how inspired the changes. It's different I suppose for everyone, but after I map the...

    It's the keyboard layout.

Yes, but why discuss exhaustively something immaterial? Okay, Azerty has . under Shift. Good for all that. Lovely really but... it doesn't matter here(being the Pyra keyboard) as it will never come to be.
