This discussion is absolutely stupid. If you can speak English, but can't figure out SD slot #1 is on the left and #2 is on the right, then you have problems, and shouldn't even be ordering a Pandora. Seriously, that is the stupidest shit I have ever heard. "WHICH LED IS SD1 AND WHICH IS...

    Benefits Of Pandora Over Psp?

No, the USB port is fried. It *could* be a software issue I guess, but the USB port on it refuses to work. Which means no networking, which means no development (everything on the BB is almost dependent on the USB port).

craig, I love you. Many other users might not, but personally, I think most of the silkscreening looks silly. I *know* what an SD port is, I don't need a tacky icon telling me. I'm all for skipping silkscreening. But I highly doubt the majority of the community will.

    Benefits Of Pandora Over Psp?

This... the PSP's screen is only 4xx by 27x (can't remember exact numbers, been years since I worked with it). Pandora is 800x480, almost twice the pixel count. The DS is quite... lame. I'm sure there are some games, but the console itself is so incredibly underpowered, which makes homebrew a...

    Infocom Text Adventures On Pandora?

I'll personally be working to get Infocom games running, if they don't using any of the public emulators (there are many). And I am nearly positive the games will run in DOSBox, handling a text game such as those should be a breeze. And yeah, I'd love to get the chance to play some of those...

    New Pix From Mweston!

Don't take him too seriously, he's like 14. I'm amazed he actually came up with that post (despite being wrong and absolutely idiotic).

    New Pix From Mweston!

I naturally swear, if I am annoyed, you will know I'm annoyed :). It's just habit I guess. I don't mean any offense by it! Not mad at all heh, I actually just clicked on the last page of this thread to see people talking about me and swearing and had to remember what I did. That's what I get...

    Minimal Angstrom Image?

Ion was looking decent, a quick trip to Wikipedia and me finding out how fucking silly the author is changed that. I mean, really. He threatened Arch Linux legally for hosting patches for Ion, just because he didn't like the patches. Downright immature.

    New Pix From Mweston!

I don't think you understand me. Your first portion of your post says it great, making mario run and jump. Imagine if run was the bottom button, and jump was the top. Well, it's next to impossible to jump out of a run (eg fly in smb). A properly designed game will assign these buttons next to...

    New Pix From Mweston!

More than aware ;). I actually figured out how to swap the settings for the PSP years ago, so the firmware would use O as accept and X as cancel in the XMB. The thing is, that still feels natural. It's very easy to move your thumb between those two buttons. Moving from X to tri back to X isn't...

I'm not sure the story on GIF, but I'm fairly sure FAT has always been patented/proprietary, and I *know* MP3 was patented for many years before it became popular. I highly doubt they could give away licensing to use the logo for free, then a few years later change their minds and charge you...

You cannot be that accurate with a sample size of 105 units. For all we know, the success rate is 50%, but they got incredibly lucky with the 105 test units

    New Pix From Mweston!

Problem comes when people are making games, and their button layout relies on a certain layout to make the game playable. Imagine a PS1 game where X is accept and, say, triangle is cancel instead of circle. X/O feels natural, while X/tri feels like a pain in the ass. This is why I'm leaving...

    Minimal Angstrom Image?

It will run without much lag, but if you throw mp3 playing, web browser, and pidgin on top of it... it will cry. It takes considerably more cpu/mem than Xfce, so you're better off with Xfce and finding a decent theme.

    Minimal Angstrom Image?

I guess I'm just one of those people who believes 'who wouldn't want to use Xfce on the Pandora?'.

    Minimal Angstrom Image?

The Angstrom distro itself will already be very minimal. Unless you're wanting to switch from Xfce to another WM, I don't see what you could gain from it. Regardless, the git is open at git.openpandora.org, so you could build it yourself.
