    Screen Brightness

Wow, apparently I'm brain dead. Is there a difference between the software LCD brightness controls and the keyboard shortcut? Using the FN-I technique as you suggested did increase the screen brightness!

    Screen Brightness

So, I assume the screen brightness is supposed to adjust screen brightness, yes? For some reason when I adjust the brightness, whether it be top of the scale or bottom, there is no visible difference in the brightness of the screen. Do you have to restart or something for that to take effect?

    Help with GemRB

Clegg you sir are a genious. Deleted the Data dir in Cache, moved the Data files from CD2 and CD3 to the Data dir, fired up the game and all is well! Woohoo! I think I might type up a quick GOG Icewind Dale to Pandora guide with credit to you for your super helpful advice and post to the...

    Moisture under screen?

Well, let me add a global update to this topic. Apparently my issue is now resolved! Here is the complete story: I noticed this issue today when I took my Pandora in to work to show it to some friends. After posting this thread and having a mild stroke, I decided to go home for lunch and...

    GnGeo help

I might be incorrect, but GnGeo I thought was the emulator for the home console Neo Geo system, not the arcade Neo Geo cabinets. The arcade Neo Geo roms are zipped, whereas the home console roms are a single file whose extensions escapes me at the moment. Again, could be way off base with that...

    Moisture under screen?

I'm not really sure how else to describe it. Its a spot in the center of the screen. It looks wavy and resembles oil when its on the surface of water. When light finger pressure is applied to the screen the spot changes shape and spreads out as if it is fluid beneath the screen. When...

    Moisture under screen?

I awoke this morning to a sad site. This is my third day with my Pandora and on the screen I saw what I thought was finger grease and/or residue from the protective plastic sheet that it came packaged with. See the attached picture to see what I'm talking about. When I tried to wipe it off...

    Help with GemRB

Okay so I got the custom.cfg file created and I have been monitoring my progress in terminal to see what is missing. First off it had issues finding the custom.cfg file when it was in appdata/gemrb/iwd, so I moved it up a level to appdata/gemrb/ and that seemed to fix that. The next issue...

    Help with GemRB

Whoa, thanks cp_clegg! Thats exactly the kind of detailed response I was hoping for. I will try this tonight first thing and hopefully get it up and running. (kind of a newbie when it comes to using the terminal but everything you said seems to make sense.) Is there any other way to...

    Help with GemRB

I need some help getting Icewind Dale to work in GemRB. I've scoured multiple GemRB threads and have not found anything that has helped yet. I'm desperate to play this game as it was a childhood favorite. My copy of Icewind Dale was bought via GOG, and I am running the latest version of...

Quick question about SD card folder structure

I'm in the process of trying to prep an SD card for the imminent arrival of my Pandora and I've run into some directions that contradict what I know about the SD card structure. To my knowledge that Pandora looks for .pnd's in one of two locations on the SD card: pandora/menu and...

    Managing DOS game copy protection

One of the things I am most looking forward to when I get my Pandora is being able to play all my old favorite DOS games. Unfortunately just about all of these games employed some sort of copy protection back in the day that required owners to flip through the instruction manual to answer a...

That port is for SD cards only! You just voided your warranty!

    Dodgy SD Cards

Awesome, thanks for all your help Prometheus. I feel like I dodged a bullet, but I know now just how shady the SD market can be.

    Dodgy SD Cards

So, I tested both suspect SD cards when I got home today and to my surprise they seem to be legit cards after all. Both 16gb cards stored 14.8gb worth of data via the tests. The read and write speeds are a little off between the cards, but way better than what class 4 should be rated at...

    Dodgy SD Cards

Yeah I think I will be purchasing a SanDisk card or two tonight. Fortunately I spoke to my wife and I had forgotten I made her switch out to a retail purchased 32gb card for our DSLR camera. No lost memories due to this issue, just hurt pride if the cards do turn out to be phoney. Anyway...

Some quick tips to help avoid fake SD Cards/flash media

Had only I known. I feel so used and dirty now like I need to take a shower with my clothes on. Thanks for bringing this info to the surface again Prometheus!

    Dodgy SD Cards

Oh wow, that's worse than I originally thought then. Most pictures I'm taking are of my infant son so I could actually be losing pics and not know it. I'll discontinue use of them immediately until I can fully test them. Thanks for posting those resources as well. Is there a utility I can...

    Dodgy SD Cards

So last year when I thought I might be getting a Pandora for Christmas I went ahead and purchased some SD Cards.... from E-bay. I was young and stupid back then and I didn't realize just how prolific the knock-off SD market really was. Long story short, I'm about 95% percent sure I got a pair...
