How Much Would You Pay For A D-pad Pre-modded Gp2x?

I'm in the same boat. I gave up using and developing for the system due to the joystick. It's just plain frustrating for me. While developing I didn't need to use the joystick a lot so I plugged on for a good 2 months. Once I started actually trying to play games I realized just how awful it...

Blue Max Review (for The Atari 800)

Great review! One of the few games I played as a kid and still enjoy a lot now. Taking off is still a challenge for me sometimes. :) ~telengard

    D-pad Stick Replacement Project

This could be the "product" that gets me using (and also coding for) the gp2x again. Haven't touched it in months due to the joystick in mine. Looking great Radek && DaveC! ~telengard

    Xmess Virtual Keyboard Keypad

Unfortunately no it doesn't support that (although that is a good idea). What you can do is remap the coleco controller 0-9 and # and the other one to other keys. That way you can use keys that are present in the virtual keyboard. hope this helps, ~telengard

Is There An Apple Ii Emulator

Yep gp2xmess has apple ][ support but it's a little slow. Overclocking would be a good help. The TI99/4a and Colecovision are the best two in there IMO. I really wish I had more time to work on it (and to be honest the desire, I'm so dissapointed w/ the joystick). ~telengard

    Retro Gaming Radio Love Gp2x

Well, for me moving in the main 4 directions Up, Down, Left, Right (esp Right) tend to not work unless I get it just right (no pun intended). It's quite frustrating. I imagine the culprit is the larger diagonal switches. Why on earth there are all those switches I'm not sure. Having just 4...

    Retro Gaming Radio Love Gp2x

Is this something that is available now or are you planning a little DIY project? Out of the loop a little lately... A replacement joystick could restore my interest in it. ~telengard

    The Gp2xmess

Hi there, Does the reset happen w/ other games besides Carmen Sandiego? My guess is no since you get to the point where the A2 boots, which means your BIOS is OK. Make sure your images aren't zipped as someone mentioned. I will try this game out when I get a free moment. ~telengard You...

    Mame Cab!

You could always go the route I did and make a modular control panel. My cabinet looks inocuous but it has some nice features to it like the modular panel and rotating monitor. With a modular panel you could swap in the control panel as you mentioned. ~telengard

    Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!

Hehe, well I was thinking about working on the Coleco Adam. I'm not sure if the IIgs would run at a decent speed or not. Next up for gp2xmess is going to be optimization for some of the slower systems currently emulated (atari 7800, apple II, coco). ~telengard

Hehe, looks like Robotron at least. Doesn't need much more to make me happy. ;) Nice small sized cab. I like it. ~telengard

    Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!

I just found this thread and am *very* impressed with the work done, I have bookmarked it also. Since other's are making requests I thought I might too: Atari XL series (black/silver ones) C64S Apple II+ Apple //c Apple IIgs Coco 1 Coleco Adam (yes I'm old, hehe) I don't ask for much do I...

    Mame Cab!

Here's mine... almost 3+ years old and still not totally done. Are they ever. :) This is an old pic too, I now have black flipper buttons and have re-done the glass bezel to be Defender style. I don't live in that house anymore either. More details here...

    Tilematch V0.6

Just wanna 2nd 8bitpeoples, lots of great stuff on there. There is also the High Voltage SID stuff and there is an equivalent Atari 800 archive also. Thousands of old school tunes. :) ~telengard

    Tilematch V0.6

Hi fluffypanda, I use ableton live (and sometimes energyxt) and a few plugins like quadrasid and the sound chip from the Atari ST (forget it's name). As for samples, I'm not big on that myself. I either do rock type stuff w/ regular instruments or chip tunes. ~telengard

    Tilematch V0.6

Hiya miq01, Hehe, I'm interested, yup. :) I plan on working on a tune once I'm done w/ this music competition I'm in (ends feb 28th). I even put two chiptunes on the album so I'm in that "8 bit" frame of mind. :) Also will resume work on gp2xmess after that. :) :) :) ~telengard
