Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

Already thought that would get spotted by someone. :) Yes, it's the movie Tron from 1982. I used it to test the GNOME player in combination with the codec pack, and it works flawlessly.

Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

In the meanwhile I added some new pictures, including some comparisons with the GP2X Wiz and the Sony PSP. Also two pictures which could easily be mistaken for a computer generated render. http://www.wootsontv.com/gallery/Pandora/ If I have some more spare time I can also make comparison...

Release Beta Test: Upcoming (HF5) Firmware Image BETA 2

Installed this new firmware last sunday on my brand new Pandora. Today I encountered a problem with my left nub, which didn't seem to register the right direction anymore. Up, left and down were good, but pulling the stick to the right didn't work anymore. Although one time it did go really...

    More boards, more software (2011 - 01 - 24)

Last week I received my unit too, and I can tell you all that is absolutely worth the wait! On my personal website I have a gallery with pictures from the Pandora. http://www.wootsontv.com/gallery/index.php/Pandora Finger-licking-goodness! :P

I've tried version 1.3 a few seconds ago, and indeed it works.

    youtube

I have tried MiniTube, but unfortunately this does not work for me. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know for sure. All I did was download the .PND file and put it on my SD card. Then I executed it from the desktop and it ran like normal. However, the program does not play anything. The...

Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

In the meanwhile you can enjoy some more lovely Pandora pictures: http://www.wootsontv.com/gallery/Pandora/ :P During the coming weeks and months I'm also going to make a whole bunch of videos (gameplay, tutorials, etc). If you are interested, I suggest you head over to my YouTube channel...

    The £5,000 Challenge

No matter how long you are going to have to wait, after a while the new situation will also feel like an era of pain. For example: Just like the trains they are making faster. Today they go from Amsterdam to Paris in two hours, and next year in only one hour. Thing is, it's still an hour. AN...

    All the nubs are there! (2011 - 01 - 11)

I must still laugh about what a friend said to me past week: "You still haven't got that Pandora thing? How long are you already waiting for that?! I would kick someones butt if I would not have my stuff within a week." I just gave a smile and said: "A long time. But seriously, it's coming...

    All the nubs are there! (2011 - 01 - 11)

News just in: my Pandora has been shipped. My heart skipped a beat while reading the mail. I am now so full of joy. Jippyyyyy!! Approximately 550~650 in the queue (once upon a time). Of course I'll make a nice video when it arrives. It should arrive within 2 to 12 days.

    All the nubs are there! (2011 - 01 - 11)

So, are all the 550 new Pandora's shipped yet? I'm asking because I was said to be between 550 and 650 on the list of Craig. So, this should mean that I'm getting my Pandora very soon. I've heard that people higher up the list already got their emails, but I still haven't got one yet.

Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

As a video editor myself, I can assure you all that this is the truth. It takes a whole lot of work for EvilDragon to produce a "simple" video. He doesn't simply record gameplay and post it online, he also edits the whole thing and adds some speech. Software needs to be selected first, recorded...

    People are watching us...

I can agree with number one and two, although I think Engadget just poops out random stuff all day long to satisfy its investors. Number three however, is a little over the edge. Razer might be primarily aimed at gamers (with lots of nonsense terms on the site and packaging), but there's...

    People are watching us...

A: Maybe a prototype exists, but they don't dare to show it. B: That teaser they made is full of fail. They say "rich 3D graphics" and show you Quake Live (based on 1999 technology) and World of Goo (a 2D puzzle game). On top you have some cheesy rehearsed technological fluffy terms, like...

    PCB production continues (2011-01-04)

Hopefully this really means things can go steady from now on. I'm really going to jump through the roof when my Pandora arrives! Maybe I can even do an epic music video with the Pandora in it. Hmm, that's sounds pretty cool actually.

One day late but more goodies instead

So, all they need to do in England is open up the cases, put the boards inside, close the case, test the unit, pack it and ship it? Sounds pretty likely to me that hundreds of people should get their Pandora next month! In the meanwhile I'll be playing some Pier Solar for the SEGA Mega Drive...

One day late but more goodies instead

The "until now" examples have nothing to do with my sentence. In my opinion the sentence is pretty perfect and has nothing to do with Dutch and English being mixed. People just read something and paste something on top, that's it. If something didn't happen until now, and the future aspect is...

One day late but more goodies instead

I think a few people don't understand what the meaning is of "until now". By this I mean I haven't heard of this up until the moment of writing, without any future visions of doom. You need to read what someone writes, not paste your own thoughts on top of something.

One day late but more goodies instead

Well, if I get my Pandora and I have even the slightest idea of it being a secondhand unit, it goes back immediately and I will also ask for a refund. I did not wait over two and a half years for a secondhand product to be honest. Sending out new units to people with problems is completely OK...

    Moving forward! (2010-12-17)

Makes perfect sense to put those on eBay since they will make a nice profit of them even though they might not be in fully working order. The other option for them would be to ship them back to the board company who then fixes the units and sends them back, which costs OpenPandora some money...
