    Production Status

Out of curiosity, I thought Craig had mentioned hiring an assembly staff and training them. Are we to believe they've been getting paid to sit idly around during this downtime? Or that they perhaps will all be available again on a moment's notice? If things start up again, it might take a bit...

    Should I Buy This?

Realistically, don't expect to be able to get one this year unless you spend over $1000 on ebay or order, somehow manage to slip into the first 4000, and then manage to get a defective ("one-nubber") unit. Things have slowed down a bit from an assembly standpoint, and it's looking like...

    Pandora Drop Test

I was actually thinking an interesting case would be one that could stay on during use, and even perhaps have a ratcheting lid/top so that people wanting to lock their hinge at different angles could just lock the case. Alas, I can't put my brain thinkings onto paper until I have my unit, but...

    Another Box Opened

I think I've reached my unboxing photo/video threshhold. I'm going to have to start taking breaks from the site. I'm in the later 3000's and my estimated date of receipt, in my own mind, is late August. I just don't want to think about this thing until I have my own and can mess around with...

    The One Nub Club

Gee, I'm tempted to PM/email the next time Craig says there's a one nubber available. I'm assuming with all these solutions found here that they'll probably just be revived at OPT HQ, but goodness, some people jumped hundreds of spots and have fully working units. Ugh.

Wtf? Ok Who Listed This One....

Maybe Craig should just start selling one out of every 50 via ebay through shadow accounts. $$$

    My Thoughts !

Wow, where would you have been in the queue if you hadn't jumped? I wish you long nub life (and I'm now super jealous). You deserve the fortune of two working nubs for taking a risk, but... darn :)

What Is The Maximum Sd Class One Can Benefit From?

If it's going to be a dedicated SD card for your Pandora, 4/6 should be enough. If you want to some day (or presently) use it for video, then consider a faster class (and also remember, it will wear down faster with such excessive use).

    Hell Yeah!

Watched your video. It seems as though you have far less of a warp on the left part of the top lid when closed... am I just seeing things wrong? Also, your shoulder buttons look better than many of the earlier units as well. Maybe it's just the lighting, but it would be nice to see some minor...

    Anyway To Minimize Ghosting?

Isn't there a genesis version? Try that.

    My First Impressions...

I'd argue the even bigger reason to pay for more expensive shipping is the trackability/dependability. I'm not going to wait months and shell out 300+ dollars and have no idea where my package is or risk it getting lost.

    My Pandora Review

What exactly do you mean? At all? It only turns on when you plug it in?

    Got My Email!

More recent orders through Google Checkout involve a little more back and forth with Jacquelyn. After an email or two a Google Checkout link is provided, and then when payment goes through a confirmation email is sent. At least, that's how it was for me (I ordered a few months ago). And no, I...

    Got My Email!

Well that does change things, doesn't it :)

    Got My Email!

Not really understanding why everyone throws the time at which they ordered around as some sort of definitive proof of something. When did you actually pay? I didn't get my estimate queue slot from Jacquelyn until my payment was processed.

    Post Your Dosbox Successes Here

You, sir, should setup a way for folks to donate to you if you're actually going to start making dreams come true like that. I know there's the dev fund and whatnot, but I've wanted to finally get into Ultima 7 (although first I have to figure out how to get the XCOPY working on my Collection...

    Post Your Dosbox Successes Here

Privateer is a surprisingly demanding game. I think I set to 15000 cycles on my PC. It gets particularly slow, no matter what, when you get close to jumpgates.

Pandora Owners' Thoughts About Paint Finish?

Was curious if folks could comment on their level of satisfaction with the final paint job? I had completely pushed any worry about the paint out of my mind after the first few recipients either loved it or they didn't mention it as a con, but recent reviews seem to cite the paint job as a...

Invisible Shield Screen Protector Sale Monday

Got mine today. Smaller than I thought, but it does say archos 605 on it.

    I Got It!

He's quite right. A colored frozen pixel is often "stuck" and can possibly fix itself or be fixed with certain screen therapy-ish techniques. White usually means a "hot" pixel, which is typically permanent, and black of course is literally a "dead" pixel, which is also typically a permanent...
