    "Smach Z is Back!" ...?

It's no secret that to get performance gains over the WIN 2's M3-8100Y, the AMD 1605b has to hit 25w. At 15W, the AMD 1605b gives a simlar performance to the 8100Y , ie not worth it. At 25w , the AMD 1605b gives about twice the performance of a stock m3-8100y

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

For big companies like Dell, they may eventually get Ice Lake this year, although I notcied their 2 in 1 with Ice Lake just slipped out a month. But for companies like GPD, it's not expected that supply will be great enough to cater for them until end of next year. BTW, this came directly from...

    "Smach Z is Back!" ...?

I think Phawx said that when he removed 24GB of the 32GB it had, power draw dropped by 20W. So amount of RAM looks to be a huge factor. I don't think the standard model has anywhere near that amount of RAM

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

The 8100Y update was a forced update. Supply of the 7Y30 has dried up and they cant get it anymore. There is not not much of a performance boost anyway, just on the CPU sde you may see 5-10%. On the GPU side nothing As for the WIN Max it's a new product line. It's not pocketable, just like...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

I don't know if the IFA expo in Germany (early Sept) is open to the public, but GPD will be there. I think they plan to be at TGS as well after that. There is a chance they will show the WIN Max either in the flesh or a flier at these events

    Nintendo Switch

I wonder if they will discount the existing Switch to clear stock. Surely not many people will buy the current one now since the new one is so close and it has such a massive battery life upgrade. Well unless they discount it and put it on sale

    Nintendo Switch

The regular Nintendo Switch is getting a huge boost to battery life due to it's change to using the Mariko Tegra chip (Die shrunk X1 I think from memory) Current Switch battery life as quoted by Nintendo is 2.5hr-6.5hr New updated Switch will have a battery life of: 4.5hr-9hr...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

I'd guess GPD will officially announce the WIN Max after the P2 Max campaign ends , ie late August or maybe Sept. That said, there isn't many specs that haven't already leaked.

    GPD WIN 2

I don't think the M3-7y30 is available anymore , at least not in numbers. So that would have been a reason for the switch to the 8100Y

    Nintendo Switch

The story that came out a week or so ago said that it uses a Tegra X1 that is now being fabricated using a much smaller node size. Thus the power saving (and better battery life) and or performance boost
