    Open... and close... and open...

The problem is to get the heat there with this thin copper foil. The Ground / VCC - Plane of the main board is a nice heatsink too. I think this was the originally planned heatsink. Ahh, this funny "search a manufactor which is willing to build them for a reasonable price" game. I think I...

Good to hear some news. Ceramic capacitors have nice microphonic features. When AC or PWM signals are applied, they produce more or less hearable noice. But it works the other way around too. If you have them in loud or vibrating areas, they are able to produce small voltages which disturbes...

    Sensors in the Pyra

I think that adding this kind of sensors will add costs to an already expensive device. Changeing the layout isn't that good too. Because if the chematics get changed in this stage, the Pyra will be never ready. Most components are bought too.

Is it possible to test the Wifi range compared to other devices? I have here my little relax-area where my tablet has a acceptable reception. The HP laptop of my brother on the other hand don't get usable reception. (He needs to use his phone as an repeater next to his laptop.) It would be nice...

    It's all white!

Or kill yourselfe because the output is on mains reference. I've seen shitty charger with capacitive dropper inside, with shorts between mains and output and too small distances between mains and output. Wasn't there a case few days ago in the newspaper, where a girl died because of a shitty...

Two dead Pandoras (my fault). Can they be fixed?

Simple viewed, its a thermo resistor. The higher the current get, the higher the themperatur of the fuse get. The higher the themperatur get, the higher the resistance get. After the failure gets fixed / the device gets switched of the resettable fuse cools down and lowers its resistanc,

3d printers are all the rage...

I'm not in to 3D printing. But glass is more bendable and warped then you think ;) I've heard that frosted glass works good. Other people use in acetone solved ABS to prepare the bed. Some say glue stick works fine too to prepare the bed.

No. The ß is the combination sz "sharp s". It's funny that the only use of capital ß is "allcaps". Because there is no word which starts with an ß ;) (Perhaps "ßcheiße" when a bik pile of manure hits the fan)

    Playing with Play-Doh

There is a saying in my company: At the project end, 90% of our projects are 80% finished. xD

    Can we change our preorders?

@Kelvin: At the moment, I don't plan to use the 4G on the pyra. (My Nokia 3510monochrome is doing a good job as phone) But I ordered the 4G for two reasons: 1.: When my brave Nokia is decideing to die on me, the phone-software is hopefully good enough to use. 2.: The 4G model has manny...

    Test the keymat!

    I vote for ceramic-hybrid milling-spindle bearings. 24 000 rpm minimum. More power ! harharharhar!

    Pyra + Java = ?

Sorry for the confusion. I'm able to write G-Code & Heidenhain scrips for CNC's, click LVD-programs together, write C/C++ code for AVR's. If it's really needed, I could try to remember ST / AWL / FUB to write SPS code. But I never dared to touch Java / Java script or anything distantly...

    Pyra + Java = ?

    The evolution of AAA gaming

Germany did get Wolfenstein. It took only a little detour (Austria - Import.) There is a funny story that a game developer didn't get why they sold the game that good in a little country like Austria. For US-people: Austria = The country next to Germany -> Large mountains Australia = The...

    That took a while...

@101001111 Thats the aluminium part with the pyra logo. I think the heat sink will be made after the prototyp tests.
