Very nice. Requires a lot of explicit work from volunteers though.
We could get a lot more training data with a browser plugin that could record spoken pcm audio and catch the translated text by google etc's recognition.
I'm thinking that combat might be 'parallelizable'.
Namely: The sequence of actions/attacks etc progresses linearly in the same order as original fallout with same ruleset (as far as can be determined) - but the animations for all combatants in each round are played in parallel. Player could...
That's indeed a productive direction to take the conversation.
Unfortunately my web-searching hasn't yielded good FOSS natural speech recognition results for linux.
What is needed is some modern neural net implementation with a lot of training to recognize all kinds of accents. That stuff is...
Alexeevdv, author of Faltergeist (the foss Fallout engine) is still plugging away at the project and dersveses some respekt, methinks.
I never played these. Might be nice to have a place to chat about it - maybe generate some interest and patches to Faltergeist itself...
Which reminds me- just found a nice interview with Raymond E. Feist about the video game based on his fantasy books..
[EDIT] Is xBak feature-complete? No updates on the engine since 2012...
I think Retroarch tests hashes of roms vs 'known good' patterns and won't show any that cannot be uniquely associated with a platform.
You can launch libretro emulators from the commandline, giving it a rom as an argument.
Autel Evo Drone :D
FW279S 2200 NIT HDMI monitor (for daylight monitoring of what you're filming)
I don't suppose EvilDragon needs a sunlight-readable display does he? FINALLY under $1000....
Alls You'd need is an android fone with HDMI screen mirroring.
I'll ask Autel if they'll let...
I guess everyone has a different level of discomfort with 'Meltdown' attacks.
I have tested 'Hase' on the Pi3's A53 @ 1.2ghz, looked through the code and set all options for speed. It couldn't maintain >15fps at 1080p
So yeah that speculative execution - as much as it is annoying - works.
Careful - there is a German release of MW - maybe from the Software Pyramide - that was incompatible with OpenMW when I tested in February. I can dig for the CD if you want but no guarantees OpenMW is still incompatible with it.
Having purchased the game twice, I just downloaded a working copy.
Our sales department seemed not quite as bad as the marketing department. But calling which was worse is like picking between two US presidental candidates. :)
Good points levi.
Some things that make OpenMW a good 'showcase app', if no technical difficulties prevent it:
1) Everyone's heard of it - people remember it
2) It appears to be an acceptably-well optimized implementation
3) About the right era of PC game to emulate on Omap5
That's not really...
I am happy to have backed this project irrespective of the outcome, and I will make further investments (in time and work) to contribute to it, If the project reaches the stage where I can reasonably do-so.
Never noticed loading times being an annoyance on the pi3.
Thank yuu! I haven't been able to find a commonly used, open-source opengl2 'benchmark' that just renders a scene with similar detail to what we have with morrowind. [EDIT]And the idea of 'benchmarking' with such things is probably...
