Well, I've played around a bit with the Slackware on Pandora and I officialy pronounce it Sleekware ;-) Thanks for your hard work!
I would like to try realtime kernel but it seems that the link to kernels on the wiki is broken. Is there any other place where one can obtain RT kernel for...
Guys, I can wholeheartidly recommend the Porta Base repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=PortaBase-hmc.
It's simple multiplatform database app where you can design your own database tables and simple forms which make data input easier. You can then create own filters and views. Of course the...
Now if I read this and think about it, I didn't hear this "poing" sound since my recent LCD cable replacement. Is it possible that the new LCD cables can prevent this? The old cable had silver metallic shielding, rev. nr. 1.3, the new one has black plastic-like layer in bended area and rev. nr...
I've got my Pandora for 1,5 years now but during those 3,5 years of waiting I've:
1. Got married
2. Moved to a new flat
3. Became a father
4. Bought my first car
5. Had 5 different bosses at work
6. Heard countless comments on Pandora project from friends in regard to my patience :-)...
Wow, that would be awesome extension of Pandoras versatility. I used to use old Palm PDA this way via bluetooth, that was about ten years ago. Since then I wished countless times my devices could do the same and now it looks like the best device of all could do the same. Keep this project up!
There is Open Bounties thread which is similar but with some incentive behind.
Similar discussion here.
And finally we have port requests page on wiki.
Not just hacks but all hw related stuff. Cables, WiFi/DVB-T/UMTS/whatever sticks, cases, other tech accessories and problems or success stories related to all above.
I fully understand Wallys point of view and agree that too many head sections might lower the visibility and attendance of other...
Yay, I like how all those ideas are iterated and grow, heading into unexpected directions and realms :-D
Wakeup events? Have to investigate in this!
Blinking in some specific pattern (i.e. waves from side to side every X seconds) with inbuilt LEDs might be optimal.
Btw, mcobit, is the...
What do you gals and guys think, does this forum deserve dedicated hardware section? Answer the poll please, argue and elaborate on your opinions.
I've found these threads that could go directly in but I stopped looking after reached those that were started in August this year.
I know it...
I would not hesitate to hop in rumble hack. What holds me back is that I would possibly have to mangle with my existing LED cable which could lead to opening the lid case again which in my case always led to either damaging the case or LCD cable. I have some spare cases now but don't want to...
Nicely done! Welcome to the KB_BL Abusers Club ;-)
I wonder how this will develop. I mean with support in apps.
Soon we might need dedicated HW hacks section :-)
I know about the nature of files on nix systems but thanks for demystifying those sys files being recreated after boot. I'll try to include the permission check into the script so it should ask for sudo password when launched first time after the boot.
And here is little video of the hack in...
WizardStan or notaz, could you please explain a bit what kind of file is this? Is it a link, something else or a regular file? I'm confused by those colons. I wrote a simple script which receives PWM value as an argument. Before I can run this script I have to do:
sudo chmod 755...
