I have a vague memory of having one of the ST emus running on Pandora incl. USB MIDI but high timing lag and jitter made it nearly useless. Native MIDI apps might be still better on Pyra than ST emulation though. Btw, MiST is actually nice solution for modern day ST MIDI sequencing.
Oh ... thanks for the heads up, I didn't know there's emacs bundled with Codeblocks beta (didn't update Codeblocks in years).
It's version 25.1.2 which is not the most up to date but the best on Pandora so far, awesome! Please, PM me your PayPal address so I can send you 25 EUR already.
It...
Please, would anybody be able to port a current version of Emacs? I've tried to ask Lukas who did the version 24, in repo comment with no response.
I'm willing to donate say 50 EUR via PayPal to successful porter to give at least a small reward for effort. Thanks in advance to anyone who makes...
There's something reassuring about having Pyra cases built by NASA technicians.
And there's something reassuring too about seeing ED wearing the same silly Abbey Road t-shirt I just wear in the very moment of viewing the photo :D
:D OK, after another try all runs smoothly. It could be that I just messed up creating user account first time.
Now I need to get bigger SD card into second slot to serve as storage for various games data and music and keep the 'system' SD for native apps.
Feels like a fresh start, my original...
I've used visudo (with emacs exported as EDITOR) to uncomment lines with %sudo and %wheel groups while adding user account into these.
No, my acount was not in %users so I added it but no difference.
setuid for Pandora scripts helped a bit i.e. with being able to run xfce menu with Pandora...
Hmmm ... if I copy the command from panel launcher and run it with sudo from cli, PND mounts fine and action is executed.
sudo /usr/pandora/scripts/pnd_run.sh -p "/usr/pandora/apps//op_wifi.pnd" -e "op_wifi.sh" -b "op_wifi"
Isn't /etc/sudoers messed up?
Thanks guys for your replies!
Yes, darkstar is the hostname.
After docbroke's hint, I've tried to run op_wifi.sh script with sudo and indeed my user was not allowed to use sudo.
Message I got:
cube48 is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
If I try to add my user into...
After many years, I gave SL4P shot again. For me ext4 didn't work either (with Zaxon 1.76). I also had to put 16MB preceeding the ext2 partition, 8MB was not enough. Card is 32GB SanDisk Ultra.
Now it's running. Unfortunatelly none of the included Pandora script PND's are running. Here's the...
Just stumbled upon Qutebrowser recently and using it occassionally on laptops. Thought it might play well with Pandora's limited screen estate and awesome keyboard. Any chance of getting it ported by our port heroes? Thanks in advance for even just considering it.
Deep grave digging ... I'm wondering that there's no solution to locking xfce session on Pandora. Are you guys switching your Pandoras completely off instead of locking? Keeping Pandora in sleep and not locked is not safe. I just dusted off my Panda after many years and realized it's not safe...
Congratulations on this! These pictures are taking me back to exciting days when we all waited for Pandora. Same feelings. All the best with finalizations!
Thank you foxblock for pin-pointing this! Updated version is in the repo. It's the official minor bugfix version from this summer. And the SDL fullscreen options in the launch script are enabled now. I disabled them some versions ago because the Maemo binary was forcing the fullscreen anyway so...
Good news, I've misread the change log. It was Meego support that was dropped, not Maemo.
Updated version is in the repo.
Check out the change log. It's rather significant update again (MIDI learn for controllers, feedback module and other goodies).
I had the touchscreen offset issues with...
Sad news for Maemo > Pandora Sunvox users. Maemo version support has been dropped from v 1.9 onwards so no updates anymore :(
Luckily we should be able to use Raspberry Pi version on Pyra (Armhf).
If you use Sunvox on other platforms, check the latest 1.9 beta. It's got some really neat...
Is there an official record of Pyra dimensions? I have a vague feeling that it was mentioned somewhere but can't find it now. Only unofficial/guessed stuff. Right now the stand has 0,5 cm free space from each side of Pandora. It will hopefully fit to Pyra as well. But it's definitelly easier to...
Accept my condolences. My 90yo grandma passed a month ago too. But she remained untouched by gaming. Perhaps because she only used computers in 1970ies :-)
Sneak preview of the Fresnel hack :-)
This is just a paper made holder to try out various distances/zoom factors. Fresnel lens gives Pandora's screen kind of an arcade-machine-like quality. It introduces extra light reflections, it also distorts the picture according to the bend of the lens and...
