    Firefox On Pandora

Sweet! Gotta love the 10 to 2MB of memory left available! Thankfully, I don't think anyone will find a good reason to run something as fancy as xubuntu.

    Pre-order Problems

To fund this short of thing, I'm guessing the guys have basically three options. 1) Find an angel investor who will give the funds to their project. 2) Get a bank to put forth the loan. 3) Use a pre-order system. 1 is crap because those type of investors want 30% plus return of their...

    Sellout

Craig has told us that there is already a commitment for more than one batch. The second batch is slated for 2009, and we've not heard about anything that could speed up/slow down that projection.

Get Ready For An Explosion Of Publicity...

Dugg it. You all realize the servers are going to cry in the matter of a few hours, right? Craig, how much load can openpandora.org really handle?

Does The Openpandora Team Need To Communicate More?

LOL, face to face communication? Me: Hi Craig, great project.... ohhh, is this a finished pandora you have there? Craig: Why yes, isn't it nice, and look at the... *ooooofff* Me: After punching in gut and stealing pandora, disappears into night

Less Then A Week Until Preorders And No Finished Pandora

Technically, with the FDM and all of the parts, I believe someone has the means to assemble a full prototype. However, assembling keys and controls by hand would be a laborious task. These guys are busy, so their choice is a full prototype, or get things done in time for pre-order...

    The Preorder Process

When it's time to pre-order, IE, the 30th of September. This has been repeated many many times. Craig said the second e-mail will be the pre-order e-mail.

Less Then A Week Until Preorders And No Finished Pandora

You won't see a finished pandora because the actual case isn't being manufactured until actual manufacturing starts. We have the prototype, which we've seen, and Craig said they are going to show us a CNC prototype as well. Perhaps then they will assemble the entire thing with the membranes...

Preordering: Money Back If We Want To Cancel The Preorder?

Craig has stated many times that the pandora pre-order date was delayed until September 30th to specifically avoid those issues. It is occurring at the time where they are sure they can proceed on schedule.

    What About Saturn Emulation?

It wasn't. ICO was released on the PS2 to much acclaim.

    Emulator Ilp

I've never written an emu before, so I had a general curiosity how much ILP you can get out of an emulator. Of course, I know this would vary wildly between architectures. I assumed Saturn would be a good example. My guess was that its many components would be better served by a multi-core...

Counter With Quantity Of Pandora Remaining On Main Site.

Additionally, it's really silly to ask someone to port more code on their site 5 days away from the pre-order. It's simple, if you're ok getting a pre-order, then do it as soon as you can. Otherwise, wait. The likelihood 1st batch units will be left after people start receiving theirs in late...
