Why is this even being asked before its released, before you have even had your hands on it, before you have even seen the finalized design?
christ.
I agree. The final design (more or less, minus streamlining, etc.) was decided on a quite a while ago. But way back when we barely started getting pictures and stuff, people were already talking about successors (who starts talking and discussing the NEXT product for a product that is still pretty far from being released (at the time)? I guess people so want a device to suit THEIR individual needs (I'm not saying others wouldn't want these features, but it stems from one person saying -- hey, the Pandora is way too big!, when the creators did their best to satisfy the largest portion of their audience) and are disappointed in the Pandora, so they get way ahead of themselves)!

Am I the only one that finds it ridiculous how many times and how early people started talking about a successor to a device that still hasn't been released (a device we don't even have actual pictures for what it will look like -- only renders of development versions)? Usually, you'd think a handheld would have at least a couple years of life before thinking about successors or new versions, but people have started talking/wanting successors and new versions months BEFORE the handheld has come out.

Just my 2 cents :)

The problem is- people saying they don't want a keyboard, its too big, etc- This IS the pandora. The pandora is a semi-clunky device with a keyboard. It wasn't meant to be a sleek, crappy, korean UMP.

I manage to keep a GB original in my pocket :p.
That's nothing. I used to keep a Sega Nomad, its battery pack, and three Genesis games in my jeans pockets.

Did that.

...last week. >_>

I think every topic on this forum has a twin somewhere.
but how can we tell which one is the evil one?

Just ask them intimate (possibly sexual) questions only the original would know.
:pandora2: :pandora1:

And yeah, I felt that the original DS was the perfect size, I don't care if the Pandora is bigger. People with big hands usually don't get cramps when using bigger handhelds (which is exactly why I hate both the DS Lite and Gameboy Advance SP).

I have big hands and get cramps with the original DS :) Hated the device, bought and sold within a few days of the Jap release.

The lite is fantastic though. And the SP.

Cargo pants? :p

Mine were relaxed fit Wranglers. I would put the Nomad in one front pocket and the three games and the battery pack in the other front pocket.

But did you also walk around and proudly announce, "I have a Nomad in my pants!"?

Actually, I said, "Look everybody! I'm playing Soni—"

And then the six batteries died.

Once I was playing Sonic on mine at school. A small crowd started gathering around me. One of them actually commented, "Wow! That's got better graphics than a Gameboy Advance!"

My philosophy has always been "Does it fit in your pocket?" "Yes" "Then shut up". Also, no one will ever be cooler than the guy in the room with a Nomad. No one.
