WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

I tried pinging my Pandora at my parents place. They have a fritzbox router and their WiFi is the only one around (in contrast to my first test at home, there are about 15WiFis around). The pinging from a laptop to my pandora gives these results: C:\Users\Tigao>ping...

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

This is my network: My Pandora: 192.168.1.55 My PC: 192.168.1.51 My router: 192.168.1.1 Pinging the router from my Pandora gets me ping times 20-40 ms. These are the ping results I get pinging from my PC [my comments are in [..] brackets]: [No returned packages if I just ping the Pandora...

Issue with left nub on brand new Pandora

Is the bias for the left nub based on the fact that 99% of use the left nub for mouse movement and the right one just for mouse clicks? Problems with the right nub might just not be as annoying and don't show that easily.. I have got problema with the left nub on my 1ghz upgrade board as well...

Flashing NAND to 1.54 failed. 'No space left on device'.

Thx notaz! the 3rd line formatted the boot sector and I could reinstall it afterwards. Now the updated SZ 1.54 version (from 1.53) is working.

Flashing NAND to 1.54 failed. 'No space left on device'.

When it hangs likge shown in the pic above there is no way to get to another terminal with alt+ left/right. The only option I see is that I boot with my SD card and then somehow try to fix the boot sector. But how? Is the dmesg output of any help if I boot from SD card? How do I manually mount...

Flashing NAND to 1.54 failed. 'No space left on device'.

the result is always the same: the formatting never finishes. how do I manually delete/ format the boot partition of the nand? I managed to boot from SD and mount the nand with this manual but that's not the boot partition. swapping 'ubi0:rootfs' with 'ubi1:boot' in the 3rd line leads to the...

Flashing NAND to 1.54 failed. 'No space left on device'.

Hi, the update feature of SZ 1.53 failed on me, I got several error messages and my Pandora just quit working. So I would like to reflash the NAND with 1.54 but I get this error. --> See pic below. After 10 minute of waiting I dediced that the format_boot somehow doesn't do anythign helpful...

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

My observations on wifi performance: On the same router, performance is a lot lot better if you dont have any wifi encryption enabled. In areas where there are very few additinal wifis around, performance is much better then in areas with lots of wifis (few wifis: 1-2. Lots of wifis: 20-30)...
