    GP32 Dosbox?

I don't know why that DOSBOX is soo slow. Virtual PC on a 350MHz G3 was about as fast as a 50-100 MHz P1 Depended what you did. For DOS Games it was too fast

    GP32 Dosbox?

Amiga emu(original Amiga has got 512kB Ram and 7.2MHz) should run ok, due to a good 68k core (Atari ST emu). Problem may be the resolutions higher than 320x240 and the customchip issues.

Discussion About Gpx2's Specs And 2d Accelerator.

I think 3d calculations need at least a fpu or a vector/matrix unit. its not the problem in 320x240 to draw fast enough. its the problem solve equations to know what pixel in what colour!

    Marathon For Gp32

For better understanding: Marathon is a triology of ego shooters of Mac os 7/8/9 made by the team (bungie) that made Halo for XBox later (there are halo demos 4 macs!) cause m$ bought them Marathon worked flawlessly on 68k macs (25-66 Mhz) in 640x480 speed should not be the problem. AlephOne...

Want Something Ported? Look Here First!

[SIZE=14]Amiga[SIZE=1] Try to port macuae http://worldserver.oleane.com/ablancha/uae.htm it works properly on a mac with 160MHz code is 1.4 MB memory aquisition is 4 MB that should be ok for the GP?

    Most wanted

cetero censeo... a DOS Emu must be coded BTW: pocketDOS has no vga emulation! Write back if I'm wrong - DOS was only able to adress 640k, so 4MB is a lot - 320x240/8-bit screen resulution need a graph buffer of about 64 k - Processor emulation have to be real good, 'cause all imaging is done...

GP32 Outrun/hang-on Race Track Graphic Effect?

Think we're talking bout the same thing with different names. 4 me a raster effect is changing one palette value during screen update ( Display list Atari800/RasterIRQ on C64) thats indeed a palette modification. The best thing to have a similar effect on GP is to reserve ec 32 Palette entries...

GP32 Outrun/hang-on Race Track Graphic Effect?

Just look at the road in curves! the white-gray borders remain horizontally. thats a sign of a raster! that old machines had 16 maybe 32 colors. There are no much palette places for rotation! you need at least 32 Plalette entries to get it smooth!

GP32 Outrun/hang-on Race Track Graphic Effect?

Just looked into outrun. Its not a palette rotation. its a raster effekt. you can see this if you drive slow.

Shouldn't be this bout porting Marathon?

Is It Possible To Emulate Dos?

That beats my hopes down, to see a Dos emu on GP, scaling down is crap but a dos emu should be much faster than "5Mhz", if an Atari ST Emu is possible? the ST was comparable to an 386SX, if I remember right. My guess is about 16-32 Mhz. Remember ARM is RISC, RISC is good 4 emus. ;)

    For us oldschool MAC users

...and what did the bungie guys say about gp32? I browsed the source a little bit. I could be wrong, but it seems to be rendered in 320x240 and then sized to 640x480 with some valkyrie tricks. Are there any people out there who want to work with me on a port? The app of M. Infinity is about...

Is It Possible To Emulate Dos?

if its possible to emulate the C64s VIC in realtime with raster and sprites on a GP32, a VGA buffer shouldnt be too demanding for the little thing! The C64 is more difficult to emulate than a PC-XT or AT. a DOS Emu should be possible! I saw Virtual PC running on a 75Mhz Mac 5200 with win 3.11...
