    Sound Distortion on Movies

Sounds like interference from Hard disk - I get that on some audio if I turn the sound up REALLY loud... but then you are ripping the sound from the DVD... so what would cause it there? I don't know. Do you get the beeps on the GP32, or just on the PC when you play the movie back?

Would you pay for quality games?

I have spoken to a few friends about the idea of forming a collective to create some quality games for the GP32. I know that a lot of the homegrown stuff is superb, and the quality of the emulators is stunning considering the machine specs... We (a collection of professional games programmers...

    GP32 GP32CON

....And surely if it goes to the Printer port, that is serial, not parallel? Was it from that panasonic phone that has the same connections? ADe/

Okay, well I for one am bored with waiting for a FLU kit to appear, so I went to Hahotech.com and of course couldn't find any info there, either. So I used babel fish to translate the pages, to gain a deeper insight... Translated Hahotech However, I got the best entertainment by the fabulous...

    GP32 GP32CON

I think what is being said here is that you would need to make a special cable that connected the EXT port to the PC serial port and then the PC would basically emulate the functions of an RF link enabling the GP32 to talk to other GP32 via the PCs internet connection. Which doesn't sound...

    GP32 GP32CON

Bwahahahahhahahahaa!!! I must remember that analogy next time I fix a PC for a dumbass user at our company. "Yes, the magic pixies come in the night and fix your Server while you are sleeping soundly dreaming of Fairies and Unicorns.." When in reality I am there till 4am say in a pile of SCSI...

    Mov to Avi?

Ooohh..!! Tricky. Virtual Dub cant seem to see .mov (and I can't say I am surprised) However, the Radvideo tools (Freeware!) can. Oh, and they can punt them straight into divx 4.12, resize them and convert the audio to boot. Dont seem to do mp3, though. RadGameTools :D :D :D :D :D :D...

Why is this thing so cheap

I work in the games industry, so I know a little about this: 1 of the reasons that the Xbox and the GCube are relatively "cheap" is that they are allegedly discounted to make headway against their main rival, the PS2. Once you have the box in someones house, you can make the money on the games...

    DivX Player...

I have MoviePark (of course ;) ) and it works fine. I tried the divX player v0.3 downloaded from here, and all I ever get is a psychadelic pattern which is pleasing in its own way, but is not the movie that Moviepark shows ;) I am using files compressed with DivX4.12, of course. Any ideas?

    SMC questions?

Another way: PCLink software, select "GP32 Specific > MP3 Basket" there is a box on the bottom middle right that shows this info. Of course, you can also right-click on the drive in windows and select properties, if you are using a card reader.... :D Ade.
