    Converting DivX 5 to 4.12 ???

I got it sorted, by luck. As I said above I installed both codecs with the Nimo codec pack but only got a gray screen when video was opened. So I uninstalled all codecs, then installed the codec pack from DivX: http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX511Bundle.exe And both codecs were then in...

    Converting DivX 5 to 4.12 ???

I've got a music video that I'm trying to convert from DivX 5 to 4.12. After some searching on this forum I tried the Nimo codec pack which gives me DivX 5 and 4.12 available at the same time in Virtual Dub. Now I can open it in VDub but all I get is a blank grey screen, I tried encoding anyway...

    Which Headphones ?

Has anyone got any recommendations for good headphones for the GP32. What do you use, are they any good, are they "HiFi" ? I've never found any personal player phones that are any good, no bass etc. Hopefully someone knows better.

    Giving some help...

You have been working hard Washo. I've got GP Cinema running at 150mhz and my max combined data rate is 38 KB/S. If I go slightly over this I get choppy sound.

Is it worth learning to encode 2-pass Xvid?

Using DivX 4.12 I found that a 2 pass reduces file size, increases quality and I could push the FPS up as well. I would definetly recommend trying it.

    Encoding XVid or DivX?

I tried it on various speeds, the faster the better. It plays fine on the PC. I'm not stoopid :) I mentioned the speed I'm using in my first post.

    Encoding XVid or DivX?

Update Using a guide by Jim diGriz, I've managed to get the FPS upto 14. Find it here: http://www.btinternet.com/%7Ewaystation/mpdivx.html Using a DivX 2 pass method I've now got a higher quality video and smaller file size with 14FPS. But I don't like the sound with generally accepted sound...

    Encoding XVid or DivX?

Washo is right, after loads of encoding and testing it seems that if the overall data rate goes to high the GP can't handle it. This seems to happen on very fast and busy videos. So even though the GP can handle 25FPS, it can only do it on ideal videos. The video I was originally encoding...

    Encoding XVid or DivX?

I've also tried a bitrate of 64 and 256Kbs, the same thing happens. I've been looking over old posts and come up with this, check Jim Degriz http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showt...=3305&hl=choppy It appears to say that if you use full resolution with some action movies you may have...

    Encoding XVid or DivX?

Sorry got the subject titile wrong, Doh I'm trying to encode a music video with DivX 4.12 which has lots of scene changes, high contrast and fast movement, but if I adjust frame rate to go above 13 it starts to make the sound a bit choppy in places. My settings are Video Bitrate 128...
