I watch Naruto (anime) alot so I just wonder how many episodes that would fit on a 128 mb card. the files are about 170 mb each

Do the math, 128/170 = 3/4th of an episode. If you want to know how large it will be when you downsize it, we'll need to know length of 1 episode :p

Depending on your reencoding settings you'll probably get about 4-6 if it's a 20-30 minute show. I can reencode 10 minute episodes to about 13 megs at 10 fps or about 17 for 15 fps, although that's a high enough quality to be able to read subtitles :)

ye i mean after they are encoded :)

the episodes are about 25 minutes with the intro movie and the end credits, so i guess 20 minutes withought em

The info you've given isn't all that helpful.

Most people consider a 128mb card adeqaute for a film, which has a length of roughly 90-120mins.

Depending on the quality at which you recode the episodes (which will obvioulsy need to be done as at present they are 170mb in size) the amount of episodes you can fit will change dis-proportionately, basically, the better the quality, the fewer the episodes.

Most episodic shows seem to run for between 20-45mins. Im guessing you can fit around 2-5 episodes on one 128mb card.

Edit: Jebusss, i gotta learn to type quicker, five minutes after the post is posted??? and theres already a load of replies making mine irrelevant!

all my naruto eps are around 25 mb, very good quality (only the subs are a bit hard to see as they are so white)

just adding my bit of info.....

Ive gotten a bugs bunny episode 7mins long down to just under 6mb.

Although my screen is set to 300 x 200 shaved quite a bit of meg off. subtitles may still be readable at that size...although never tried. suppose it depends on you eyes, really.

I work roughly to 1mb = 1min.
