im looking for an apple link for the gp32.
it would be fine if its working well.
im a new apple user and ive sold my pc so ive
change my linkprogram.

please help me, thx tom

sorry i haven´t seen the link.
i´ve downloaded de file but how can i
use this stuff. im little bit stupid
in this kind of programs.

1) Open up a terminal window
2) cd to wherever you've unzipped the file
3) Switch on your GP32
4) plug the cable into the GP32 and the USB port on your mac
5) Type maclink on it's own to get a list of functions
6) maclink info will give you some GP32 info
7) maclink ls / to list the directory contents
8) maclink ul <file> to send files to your GP32

Hope that gets you started :)

I get a bit lost too. What do you mean cd to wherever you zipped your file? I don't really know what to do. I get a lost. Can you give a bit more detailed guide on how to copy stuff to the GP32? I'm not really good at this, that is why I need help. Thanks for the help so far.

Anyone really interested in doing a proper GUI for maclink? drag and drop support etc?

its not the computers fault ,the program is a liitle bit ... difficult.
but ill manage it to get the files on my gp :)

What browsers are you guys using?

If you're using Safari, once you've clicked on the download link, the zip file should be saved wherever you've got your system configured to download files to (the desktop is usually the easiest place).

Then (if you're lucky) the zip file should be unzipped automatically (probably using Stuffit Expander) and you'll then have a folder called maclink.

Assuming the above has happened, open a Terminal window (Application->Utilities->Terminal) and then inside that window you'll have access to a command line where you can run the script.

Again, assuming that the file was unzipped on your desktop, you would then enter
cd ~/Desktop/maclink
and then you can type commands like
maclink ls /
or
maclink info

Hope that helps a bit more.

Mr Spiv: I guess the GUI you have a picture of never materialised?

Think I'll have a go myself... :)

Ah that GUI.. It does exist. The problem with it is that it's just wrapped for the binary. Somethig like a real integration of GUI code & maclink code would be better.

I've started something in Xcode/Interface builder using Cocoa so it should allow some drag and drop. etc. It will still wrap your binary, but hopefully I can process the shell output so we can have a proper browser view of the GP32...

Any chance of a copy of the GUI you've got? I wouldn't mind playing around with it...
