Why does Ebuyer.co.uk not have any Geforce 4 Ti's ????? Ive get the money for one but Cant find them.... are they a Discontinued product now???????

What should I go for? I was thinking of GF 4 TI 4200 128MB or the GF 4 TI 4400 128MB or the Gefoce FX 5200... Is the FX 5200 worth it (As I can get one for £40 NEW) or is it a pile of poooop :D hehe... Will it b able to run Doom 3 the Geforce FX 5200???

Main thing thats got me anoyed Is people are saying the Geforce 4 Ti's are only Direct X 8 compatable and that this could be a problem in the future, Is this true???

(the FX 5200 is Direct X 9)

Thanks

Ebay!!!

Yeah you should be quite comfortable with a 5200 as long as it fully DX9 compatible and you have a juicy PC to back it up.
only ones on Ebay are 1 Year old or used mainly... Dont realy want a Used one incase someone has Overclocked the Bollocks off it :D hehe...

I have -

AMD Athlon XP 1600+
576MB SD Ram (Gonna save up for DDR soon)
120 GB HD
LOTS of Cooling Fans (10 the last time I counted :D hehe or was it 11 now hhmm)

I have a 64MB GF4 Ti 4200, and I'll recommend it highly. Why? It's one of the best value-for-money chips, easily overclockable and supported over Linux too. As for DX8 support problems, FUHGEDDABOUTIT. It runs the HL2 alpha~ish thing and the Far Cry demo will mostly full visual effects at lovely FPSs and resolutions, and will keep you going for at least the current generation of games (up to Stalker or so).

However - one thing I dislike is my memory, as UT maps such as Inferno slow down due to overuse of textures. I keep cursing myself for choosing 64 MB. For that reason, I'd suggest 128MB no question. 64 is just too low when compared to all the other chips out there.

Know any Shops in the UK or UK Sites that have the 128MB Version??

Thanks

You have apractically identical system to me.

...And if you get a Inno3D GF4 TI4200 128MB then you'll have exactly the same.

I got mine on ebuyer awhile ago, but thats no help is it?
