Got my GP32 this morning and despite having a few problems to start off with I managed to get everything working by reading the boards. So thanks to everyone who's posted to help people. It meant I didn't have to ask one question :D

Although that could change once I've been using it a while ;)

I was wondering what firmware comes as standard now ? I feel having the euro firmware makes the gp32 seem so much better my friends at school always comment on how much more proffessional it looks compared to pacrom or say the orignal especially

To my knowledge, its the MultiFW 2. But since the Euro FW has all the problems associated with loading both official and unoffical programs, I've stuck with that. People are also impressed with Wind-ups when they see it :)

Um... I though that GBAx was loading with multifw2, and all GP32s come with orig f/w still?

Well I got my GP32 on a whim without really checking the sites. Okay, it worked out okay for me, but still - CHECK THE BOARDS FIRST because you'll regret it if you post about todo lists, notepads and PSX emulation which the GP32 is just not gonna get. It's a good console for a lot of people, but there will always be those who it's just not right for. Kudos to Mikey for doing the right thing.

You know I just find it odd that the fact PSone games are on CDs isnt enough of a deterrant against people asking if there'll be an emu for it. It's ludicrous.

But yeah most forums for cummunities that have been around for a while will have all the info you could want. it's just a matter of how you look for it.

LOL, yeah you gotta be realistic. The gp is a great peice of kit but anyone expecting it to be able to handle newer system emulation is gonna be disapointed.

Personally I love all the old stuff (having just spent several hours at work playing Bubble bobble :D ) The stuff the Gp has right now is top rate, except for the official games lol. But since I bought it mainly for the emulation thats a minor problem.

As far as I can gather Snes and Megadrive emulation isn't exactley brilliant but could get better in time. What I would like to see is some of the old tabletop lcd, vfd games converted - Astro wars, Crazy Monster, etc

welcome mikey...and to all the new member's who have go gp's in the last couple of month's....nice too see so many off you.
hope you get as many hour's of fun out off your's....as i get out off mine...
