somone should make 2 extra buttons that plug into the EXT port and u can uses them in opensnes

I was thinking, the first time I started playing with MAME I used the old "hack a keyboard" trick to make a controller.
We could probally do the same with the chatboards, or find a supplier of the chat board chip.

also, does anyone know if the chatboards are a matrix or scanning device. (if you can press two buttons at once with out ghosting)

But the 2 xtra buttons will be "really far away" from the rest, making it impractical

why not buy a usb keyboard for a PDA and use that? After all the GP32 has a host controller!
Unfortunately, the GP32 DOESN'T have a host controller. This is why there aren't any USB devices for it.

If you check the Samsung datasheet for the S3C2400X (chapter 12) you will find that the GP32 does indeed have a host controller! In fact the CPU has 3 USB devices 1 x slave and 2 x hosts. The slave is multiplexed to one of the hosts. All are Open HCI compliant. I think the only thing missing on the port will be power but that should not be a problem either.

I think the only thing that is stopping USB device development is the amount of programming required. perhaps someone out there is brave enough.
