Anyone else get the demo? I think its awesome and a giant leap for the series. Its about 5 times better than Halo for PC. Alot of changes to the regular arsenal and the addition of the new gametypes is very good.

I'm pissed off that UT gamers need to buy a new UT Game every year for 50euro. As far as I know they want to bring out a UT200* game every year until 2008.
But the Games are great. :D Just finished downloading it. Will give it a try later on.

i might actually buy it. i havent decided yet. it comes in a fancy metal dvd box and supposedly a free headset and supposedly its coming out around christmas so who knows

I would get the DVD version because of its bonus editor video tutorials, the convenience of not switching between 6 disks, and the free headset, but I have no goddamn DVD drive! I'll just have to settle for the CD version and get my rebate that is not a rumour but fact.

Squidge: right to the point! :D

as for the DVD edition...i have to get my hands on that. could it be that i saw it on some UK site where i could pre-order it? also, how much customs would i have to pay? (Hungary will join the EU in May, but we already use the same import tax system)

Omg, I already ported UT2004, I have 1 screenshot. It isnt very clear so dont call me a liar!! omg!

Picture2.jpg

It only runs at 25 FPS so far so it barelly playable

FFS 5.5GB hard drive space Required... LOL thats alot... the CD Version must be 6 Discs if thats the size you require for the DVD Version...

Also if this DVD Version of it is 5.5GB in space on the DVD Disc, then this will make it hard for people to make Backups / copies of it direct DVD 2 DVD as you would Require a DVD9 Burner which I dont think hardly any have been released yet...... also this might be a way of stopping the DVD version being backed up onto a single 4.7GB DVD-R if the DVD Image on the Original is Over 4.7GB and sold, which seems quite a good way of stopping copyright (Making the original game on the Disc over 4.7GB)... but someone will come along and rip some sounds / vids / music to get in onto one 4.7GB disc if this is the problem.. :D.. Im just jibbbbbbering on... Im going to bed before I bor you all... hehe :D Cya

---EDIT---

BEfore I go, I want to make clear, when I say DVD-R I mean DVD+R as well (if thats the kind of discs you like best :D) But I dont know why ppl like +R better... -R has 10 more MB and is cheaper :D hehe...

Hmmm, just write it to a dual-layer disk :) The writers will be available very soon - media is already available in very small quantities (read :- singles). However, due to the prices of the writers and disks because of the new technology, it will most likely be cheaper to just buy the original !
