I think a SCORCHED (correct, forgive my stupidity early in the morning) earth clone done with some decent graphics, some nice smooth animation (tanks could idle, treads/gears move when you move, Weapon explosions would be nice, etc...) and weapons (and a few selectable tanks) would be pretty fun. And might be a GP seller. (Could have two player on the same GP32 due to turn based factor)

Sure, there's worms and a few emulated games, and rally pop (like, a dumbed DOWN version...) But it's just not the same...

Whaddya think? (Yes, i'm sorry for wasteing valuable time and post space, But it's just something to throw onto the suggestion pile)

Edit: Again, forgive me, My brain fails to function in the morning.

Well, no screenshot I could find, But basicly it's like the father of the worms series(Gorilla being the grand father)

You played as a tank, could move a TINY BIT each turn, but mostly stayed in one place on terrain with hills and such, And you used angles and varying power to shoot. And you had multiple weapons to choose from, each destroying different amounts of terrain, or doing another effect entirely.

Edit: YOU MAY be able to find it on the net, but I dunno if windows XP or anything higher than 98 will be friendly towards it's older DOS format.

hmm, That's odd.....

I swore I found source before, now I can't even find the game download in binary form

Anyone care to give me a hand in the search?

Rally Pop is what you're looking for. Somewhat similar to Shattered Earth, although it costs money. You can grab it at entware I beleive.

Neither of those are it, the SE shattered earth is a side scroller I believe.... I could be wrong ( I remember finding the same game, only to find that it was an akward yet interesting side scroller, not the tank game) is scorched earth even available as abandonware or source code?

Wow, i'm an idiot :D

I have no friggin clue where the shattered came from, Forgive my stupidity and wastes of your time, changing subject

And to Anime...

Genesis had a version of YS on it I think... Probably not the same though

Yep, i'm quite brain dead at times....STILL have no clue where the shattered part came in....

Edit: Extract? Ah, he uses that backwards lha format... I THINK ultimate zip can support it.... It's pretty easy to find on the net.... (re-edit: Awww, classic amiga only? =/ I wanted to play...)
