Hi and stuff. =)

I'm about to purchase a used GP32, because I'm just fascinated from this handheld and I plan to use it as portable C64/SNES emulator/MP3 player on tour (hey! It's cheaper than a friggin protable mp3 player and has more features!).

My main question now... what about the registration?
To use the freeloader or the divX player for the GP32, you need to get an account at www.gp32.com and the serial number of your GP32. But what if it is a used handheld and already registered? What when I want to use the upload software and stuff but can't use a registration code because I didn't get any from the former user after I purchased the used one - then I'm stuck right?

If someone has some experience with that issue, I'd thank for any kind of help.

Thanks a lot.

No problems from the side of the GP32 firm?

I know that there're some problems with used software from other firms that're using dongles (hardware keys), but if that really works... then a GP32 is soon in my collection.

And thank god a handheld like this exists. Who needs a GBA with a flash-advance card (and other tools that cost money just to play MP3 for example) if you can have a GP32 with way better functions for less! *he... he...*

EDIT:
And what if the software is missing with the used GP32? Can I easily get it from the webpage of gp32.com? I guess it should be possible after my registration. All I need is the freeloader anyways for using emus, mp3 and multiple games on one SMC. I'm not so interested in watching DivX.

TIA again. =)

If the software is missing, you can just re-register with Gamepark (like Craig says) and download the required software.

However, normally the seller bundles an SMC with the machine which contains the free launcher already. Some machines don't come with an SMC, but you may find the user has flashed the firmware to something that doesn't require free launcher anyway (like the Euro firmware, or Pacrom, or even better, MultiFW2)
