Okay. I was transferring some stuff between pc and gp- when it run out of batteries, so i switched it off and on,

it displayed mr spiv's bad biod error, then went blank, have i fryed my GP, or is it the batteries?!?

I have no other batteries to test it on

Battries... When the battries are low, something like the processor doesn't get enough power, and it miscalcualtes, and this usually makes it err after a few calcs (at least I think thats what happens, but I am sure that the low batts are causing it anyways)

Dont worry, you are lucky, it's only your battieries. Change them and everything will back to normal.

Btw. Mr.Spiv i suggest to make some nice splash screen for debug info as for many people it is going to be a substitute of BSoD ;)))))

oh no, not the blue screen of death!!!! bah, i wish they'd bring it back into Windows XP... at least when win 9x crashed it did it with style, windows XP just gets all slow and crappy but seems as though nothings wrong... bah...

change of batteries should do the trick, you also get the debug screen if you overclock too high ;)

What about an arty screen of death - a tasteful shade of mauve (or whatever you spell that colour) already in Aquafish you can load images at boot up, I would like to be able to load images when the thing goes tits up.

It seems that Pacrom seems to crash on startup if the file allocation table (FAT) on the card is corrupt, which, since you were transferring files when the batteries died, is certainly a possibility. Pacrom also doesn't seem to like completely blank cards (eg. no directories or files whatsoever).

Thank god for MultiFW eh? :)

We just need to make a FW that crashes 20-30 times a day (with a BSOD), and we can call it Longhorn, released & optimized for GP32 even b4 it came out on desktops ;) We can even have a virus embedded in some games that formats the SMC every now and then, but of course it will only be able to execute, and infect all other .fxe's if we are running LonghornGP :p
