I tried to start DungeonMaster (it seems to work perfectly) and now want to save my "party" to be able to start a new game. So i inserted a savegame floppy in A:, even formatted it with DungeonMaster and the tried "Save and Quit".
The problem: DungeonMaster says something like "Unable to save game".

How can I save games from within DungeonMaster (and ChaosStrikesBack) ?
Once I have successfully saved my party I can use the savestate function from Castaway, but I have to create a "valid" savegame to start a new game with my party...

Thanks for any help!

There is a wonnnnnnnderful function called "SAVE STATE"
You should try it just for once ;)

Because of the way you have to start a game (with CSB at least), save states are useless until you have actually started a game and this does involve a little bit of faffing about.

Once this is done they are, of course, very useful.

That's why I wrote "Once I have successfully saved my party I can use the savestate function from Castaway"

I made a How2 about getting CSB started on the GP32 with castaway, it may help.
Thanks for your reply.

Well, I knew your how2 before I posted here :)

But I don't understand all of it: I do not have an existing Savegame to use in CSB. And I want to start with DM :D

I think after formatting a Savedisk from the Atari TOS, I didn't use the file called *.sav . I will try this and let you know if it helped.

For DM, all you need is the savestates.. you needn't bother with save files or the like, unless you want to.
