programming for dummies??

My wish is to have a program that i can use in Windows ME to program games for the GP32....EASILY. Something I can just point and click, drag and drop, type what i want and it appears...anything like that. I would love to contribute something to the community but i have no programming experience. I do have C++ Version 6 but have no clue how to work it. :p

There was 3d gamemaker for the pc someone could make a port to play games created with that but I doubt it will happen. And there was aprogram called shootem up construction kit for the 16 bit machines.
I cant remember if there was an atari st version but if there was in theory you could run it under an st emulator on your pc to make the games. And everyone else could play them using castaway on their gp32s. Other than that game making tools are pretty thin on the ground.
The only other option is to get a doom map/level editor such as deepsea and use that to make a game using the doom engine. You could make straight forward levels for doom or with practice and a few other tool build pretty much a new game sprites and all.But it isn't easy.Probably easier than learning to code though.

i was just gona start a thread like this :p. Basically i thought maybe i could make doom wads if you dont need any programming skills. Or maybe the new 3d engine if sprite ai was made so you dont have to code anything. But ill b interested in peoples responces to this 2 :)

I'd be more than happy to try something along these lines as along with many others I often feel guilty about being a 'taker' and not a 'contributer'. It's very difficult when you have no programming skill to do any more than offer opinion. I remember game construction kits being available a few years ago (probably quite a few if I think about it), but once again without knowing what they were and without the knowledge of how to port anything I could conceivably be able to create, I am still at a loss!

It may be the unfortunate case that there are no easy short cuts when it comes to something like this. I don't post often but read every day so to all who can contribute and brighten up my world a little with their work..many thanks.

anyone got a link for that shootem up construction kit ?? Cant find it anywhere...

If you do a goole search for c64 games they have it there - dont think im allowed to link to the actual c64 archive?

Not sure if there was ever a 16 bit version - the 8 bit version took a fair bit of my time tho!

Made by the guys who bought you sensi soccer etc. etc.

Nice little prog this one
