Gp2x On Cover Of Linux User Magazine

I can confirm that there is indeed a huge image of the GP2X on the front of Linux User July. There isn't an article on it, just an ad saying 'GP2X Released in the UK! Special Reader Offer - www.linuxuser.co.uk for more details'.

Yeah, the Wired one is fake. I just picked up a copy of the original version of that from the library for free. (From 1997) It had a picture of the Apple logo surrounded by barbed wire, becvause back then it seemed like apple was going to go under... But that was before the Imac. :)

Hi there. I'm new to this site and found it while thinking about buying a GP2X. I've got the July magazine and yep there is indeed the GP2X on the front. It's a shame there isn't an article about it. Also, while it says there is an offer their site there simply doesn't appear to be one that I can find. That's a pity because if there is a discount of some kind then I'd definitely get one.

I'm a bit of a fanatical Linux user (and a professional software developer) and one thing I find about fellow Linux users is they are staunchly loyal. If there was more publicity about the GP2X in the Linux community then I think it would certainly help their sales.

GP2X on last page ("The Last Word..") of What Laptop Issue 87 August 2006 (UK).
Doesn't say a lot - just a short paragraph saying it plays a range of classic games such as Doom..
Unfortunately it also mentions the DS Lite on the same page..

Offf topic but when did gameTV come back on the air. I can't find it anywhere on Bravos schedule.

Here is the real cover of the mag. It is issue number 63. They have a bit to say about it on their site right now.

edit: they are offering it for sell for 114 pounds with an SD card.

The LinuxUser website has now been updated and there is indeed an offer on the GP2X.
