I was wondering if GP32 is capable to emulate this, I mean if its possible to an emulator for this specs run at GP32:

CPS-2:

Main Processor : Custom 68000 at 12 Mhz
Address Bus : 24 bit
Data Bus : 16 bit

Sound Processor : Zilog Z80 at 8 Mhz

Sound Channels : 16 Stereo Channels
Sound Format : ADPCM QSound

Color Palette : 32 bit
Total On Screen Colors: 4096
Colors per tile : 16 (4 bits per pixel)
Object Number : 900 (16 x 16 pixels)
Scroll Faces : 3
Resolution : 384 x 224

Maximum Capacity : 322 Megabits

Hi

I think at 133mhz the gp32 could emulate the 68000@12mhz no problem
but the z80 at 8mhz plus the GFX would be pushing it a bit.

So if we have the source code of an arcade emulator like nebula or mame cps-2 or even fireburner it may possible to create an emulator?

I'd give my left dangley bit to get CPS2 emulated on the GP32. I've just ordered one so should be getting to grips with it soon.

If anyone's interested there's a webby at www.cps2shock.com with th eteam that helped crack the CPS2 emulation on the pc and a guy who's coded his own version of CPS2MAME who might help.

This would be pushing the GP32, its the speed the 68k is running at combined with the extra Z80 at 8mhz which is the problem, and i doubt there is an ASM 68k emu for the arm cpu, if there was then... maybe this could be done at some kind of playable speed, i think you could play the PC emu on a Pentium 75 pretty much ok?

On a more slow note, some of you might be interested to know I've got B-EM the BBC emulator to compile on the GP32, but have to tackle the hires rendering before its worth releasing.
