I was thinking about this driving today, is it possible to hook up the GP32 to a car stereo, like the old cd players, they had the tape that went in that hooked up to the headphones of the cd player, would it work with the gp32? Don't want to buy the hook up if somebody else has already tried it and it didn't work.

Haven't tried it, but I cannot imagine why it wouldn't work; the GP32 has the same headphone jack as any CD player I've seen, so they should be able to use that tape hookup thingie...

fine here as well, just dont let the cops catch you playing a game while your speeding to work however.. (would make a great TV commercial for the GP32! too bad i dont work in advertising..)

Why not just use the "Line In" on your Car Stereo instead of the Tape casette thing??? Thats how I hook my GP32, CD Player or Mini Disc to the Car....

If you have a line in on your stereo, it should work great as well. Unfortunately, most car stereos don't have one, which is a shame because as you said they are very convenient.

When I first got my GP32 I jacked the audio into the inputs in my van just to see how it sounded, and it worked great. Of course my van has an mp3 player as well as a DVD player, so it was kind of a moot point.

I was thinking bout sumthin like this too. Maybe you could take apart the gp and have it permanently installed in the car to be used for mp3s and videos. You might as well just take ur normal gp in with u but it would look cool still.

I use GPOGG on my big stereo and sometimes in the car, it sounds great. It's alot more convenient than bringing my discman everywhere but i'm only limited to the little space I have on my one 128mb smc.
