What Does Your Ocd Do To You?

Yes, what is with that whole text thing? Many people I know do that, and I never understood why....

- If I say "ace", I say it 3 more times.
- Won't use toiletries anyone else has used
- Always tapping regular rhythmns.
- Stretching before I sleep.
- Making sure everyone else uses correct grammar and punctiation.
- being a hippocrite

I'm sure these arn't OCD, just habits

hypocrite, punctuation, rhythms.

Sorry, I had to participate in the festivities ;)

it was a typo, i swear! besides, you have no life

Are you that manly that even your sentences don't have periods?
(or capped first letters, capped I's, etc...)

We should rename dcgm Al Hominem.
haha gee loubear, you are REALLY funny.

The difference is, when I said "you have no life", it was based on the fact that he went back in other threads to look for typos. When I make fun of you, it's because it's fun!

"Selecting and unselecting text whilst surfing all the time.

And it really pisses me off when I cant select a text on a website..."

Yah, have that too. :(

I get irritated when people say:

- "Are you paranoia?"

It's PARANOID, for fuck's sake.
You could just as well say: "Are you fever?"

Tv presentators who say that should be shot...

I type all my posts with correct grammatical structure and spelling...
Not true! At least, not when you move to ALL CAPS TO QUICKLY BUST OUT A POINT YOU DEEM OBVIOUS ;)

That's the only time I've noticed you not using perfect grammer.

My OCD:
I'm meticulous about keeping care of CD's, DVD's, those kinds of things. I step over cracks in the sidewalk, or directly on them with the middle of my foot - but usually I'm looking up so I don't notice it as much.

My Latin wife's OCD is much more fun. We get a kick out of detective "Monk" on TV because she shares a lot of his cleaning obsessions, which I love. Every 3 months she takes one or two rooms in the house and moves every piece of furniture, even the 30 gallon fishtank - but not the 800 lb piano.

We have four kids and all of the girls (3yo, 6yo and 9yo) clean up their own stuff.

I'm the only one who doesn't do a lot of cleaning. Well me and the baby boy. I enjoy coming home - it always smells good and she never uses air fresheners - it's just because nothing is allowed to stale, not food, not clothes, not even dust behind large objects and furniture.

I contantly feel the need to correct other people's spelling.

Altough I definately try not to act on it as much as I would like.

It especially bothers me when people are talking about brand-name products and they replace a 'c' with a 'k' or vice versa.
Constantly, peoples', although, definitely ;)

See, this is one of those super embarassing moments for me... I type too fast for me to realize what I've written...

EDIT: And I'm relatively sure it is people's. People = more than one person, people's = posessive of people. Peoples = races of people, peoples' = posessive of peoples.

Gah, another one I share(d). Have too much of these.

My problem is that everything needs to be neat, if something in my mind is out of place i need to put it somewhere where it shouold be.
If Something right beside me isnt straight, ill straigten it.
this morning while sitting my exam i was making sure my table wasnt clutered, my water bottle was nicely on the top right hand corner, my pensil case waswhere it should be and my ruler not in the way.
It all sounds stupid, but thats the way i like stuff to be, otherwise it disturbs me and i have to move it.

Possibly. I don't have the definite knowledge to say either way. That's why I try to use "person, persons" most of the time (at least in writing) to avoid that confusion.

My German teacher has to have everything either parallel or perpendicular to everything else. His favorite saying is "If it's not a right angle, it's a wrong angle."
