The main sort of games I like to play are first person RPGs as in Dungeon master, eye of the beholder and so on. However, on the Atari St emulator these are still hard to play due to control issues caused by lack of a mouse. The only one Ive found to keep me going is Eye of the beholder on the SNES emulator which is much easier to control being designed for a joystick. My question is this. Are there any first person RPGs out there on things like the mega drive or snes or nes or whatever that I might be missing out on.

If they ever manage to port DosBox to the GP2X, there's the old Elder Scrolls games. If memory serves me correctly, Bethesda have even made some of them available for free.

EDIT: memory did serve me correctly. You can download Elder Scrolls: Arena here: http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/downloads_games.htm

Yeah good luck running Arena on a GP2X... It has trouble running on 1.5 - 2Ghz X86 machines...

More FPRPGs:

Arcana and Drakkhen on SNES (also Might & Magic 2 + 3, as well as Megadrive).

Wizardry titles and Shadowgate on NES (and IIRC Gameboy).

A bunch on Commodore 64, starting with Bard's Tale and Might & Magic, but plenty of others.
