Can someone explain this to me? What exactly is being emulated? the TURBOGRAFX-16 or some other platform or a bunch of them? A site listing a bunch of good games would be nice to. Idon't know if this should go in the I need help section so just move it if need be.

No, I know that there is a PC-Engine out there and that it's pretty sweet. What I don't know is what is the Pc-Engine. Some sites are calling it the TurboGrafx-16 while some are seperating them into two groups. And then, there are other sites calling it other stuff. Pc-Engine makes me personally think of like maybe old DOS games or Diablo or something.

Thats what I though it was but it isn't. I orignally, last year, though it was old pc games but its not. its a console.

It simply went by different names around the world, like Genesis/Megadrive.

Of course, there's also the Turbo-express, which was portable... I seem to recall it was compatible with the console-version?

Eh... I just showed you what it was with that link. It even has lots of games at the bottom. One of my favorite series is Bonk. The link even tells you why it's called different things.

How did that not help? Did you not read the link?

EDIT:
alright so I read the wiki but there's a bunch of PC-Engine consoles out there. Which one is the emulator...emulating?
It emulates the PC-Engine/TG-16. According to Vobbo, his PCE emulator may soon emulate the CD-ROM games, or games from the TG-CD. The TurboExpress was just a portable version of the TG-16.

PC-Engine was the machines name in Japan (the nice little cute white console) - then, NEC released it in the states in a disgusting huge black box and called it Turbo-Graphics16 or some crap like that... oh, yea, and they twatted the data-pins on the hucards too so you couldnt play Jap games in a USA deck... nice of em... ~

Vobbo

Along with all the old Nintendo Console's games, Turbografix-16 and Genesis games will also be available for download on the Wii.

Just a little side note :)
really. The thing I fear is when the release for the Wii comes is that the ywill send C&D's to all them emulators like this.

Maybe that's why vobbo is coding up his PC Engine emu so fast, so that it will be all done and out there before Nintendo sent out their C&D to get it pulled.

He He. Technically theres nothing wrong with an emulator and I dont think they will try to sue him just to make him run out of money from legal costs. I can see Sony doing that for PSX stuff though :p Lol Nintendo better not sue me for hosting him. Its that old C&D all over again lol.

Nintendo: CEASE AND DECIST
Me: Look, Mario!!!
Nintendo: OMG GRAB MARIO! HES EMULATING HIMSELF.
Sony: NO WE MUST SUE YOU BECAUSE HE MAY BE EMULATING A PSX!
