Okay gang please be patient with me, as I know that this emu has been riddled to death on the boards. I've read all the "read me's" that came with the emu, used the search option on the boards and read all the relevant threads that came up, visited the Wiki page, and I still can't get past this one sticking point. What I have been able to do is enable sound and set the "home/console" option, but I can't adjust the cpu speed to where I would like it. When the emu comes up the cpu speed is at 200, which runs too slow with the sound. When I hit the "Y" button is switches to 266, which I guess is too fast because it won't load the roms. I have tried the "un-scientific" method of "mashing" every possible botton, but the only rates that I can get are 200 or 266. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to finetune the cpu rates????????? Thanks, H.G. P.S. I got the Gp2x second hand, and it does have a program within the Gngeo2x folder to set the cpu speed, which I change, but when I start up the emu it is still at 200. Anyone familiar with this program know how to make the settings "stick"??????

Use the rage2x frontend you can fine tune overclocks and save the settings.

I've got the rage2x frontend, so that's a good start, LOL, but I don't see any "save settings" option on the menu, would you be so kind as to point it out to me??? Thanks, H.G.

Now that's really weird, the last option I have is "activate game info" and "save all setting" doesn't appear anywhere!!!!!!!! What version are you using??? H.G.

Hiredgun, you might also want to make sure you have the latest GnGeo too as the new one is much faster.

Thanks for the advise Craigx, I just installed it, but now I'm right back where I started with the emu without using the frontend, LOL. The only cpu speeds I get are 200 (too slow with sound) or 266 (suppose it's too fast, as the roms don't load). I've got it figured out on the frontend, so I suppose that it's just the principal of the thing now, LOL, but can anyone tell me how I can set the cpu rate using GnGeo2x to other than 200 or 266?????? H.G.
