I read a post on this forum, where somebody said he had a problem with the clicking sound, the control stick makes...

I thought this was a bit funny, since i love it... Probably because it gives you an idea about, when there is "signal through"... And because I loved "The Arcade"-joystick for the c64 (made same clicking sound).

Anyway... wanted to make it a poll :D

Oooh, do you mean the black joystick with the brown base? I had one of those, maybe that's why I like the GP32 clicking.

I don't like it because I keep thinking that If I move the joystick really fast in multiple directions i'll break it. IMO, it makes it sound fragile.

dont mind the clicking but what I dont like is that the range accepted for the diagonals X is less than those for the horizontal and vertical +.

If you have played vigilante for gpengine you'll know how hard it is to jump forward.

Also the sound sort of makes it sound fragile, my ninja  skills might break it.

i think the joystick seems fragile because it is fragile, not because the clicking it makes

i like the click it reminds me of the old analogue switches, those quickshots with their little silvers pads wore out too quick (specially when playing daley thompsons decathlon)

Mine was all black, but I did see someplace that they also came with a brown base. I actually ripped one of my cheap 4 button pc-controllers apart a few months ago, to mod my beloved old c64/Amiga joystick for pc... Then I was able to play c64/Amiga games "The real way" :) ... Yes... Microswitches rules!

Has anyone dared to play daley thompsons decathlon on c64 emu, it would be a good joystick test. (I ain't trying it!!!)

I like it cos you know your joystick is still working... Like my Commador Amiga Joystic doesnt click anymore when I want to go right so now I cant play racing games like LOTUS TURBO CHALLENGE Etc :D hehe but luckilly I got a spair Joystic for it....

I remember how cool it was as the first real good joystick with microswitches came up! Thanks heavens Gamepark uses them!
