Ok Ive got the whole of the .34 romset BUT is there anyway of knowing what versions of what games work on the gp2x? I don't want multiple files of multiple games on my mem card taking up unnecessary space if you know what i mean.

Is there any way of doing this?

Basically i want 1 version of every game that works and dont want the to copy the whole romset over thus taking up too much space.

EXAMPLE for the game 1942 i have 3 files 1942,1942a and 1942b.

the different versions of games are often due to different manufacturers making the same games. so one game might have a namco version and one might have a midway version. usually it seems to me that there's no difference, sometimes there's a slight difference in speed.

so, trial and error i guess. if you have the complete set then you shouldn't have any shortage of things to play regardless.

Read the gameslist.txt that comes with the mame archive; it tells you what games are compatable.

???

If your saying I'm unappreciative of this emulator then your much mistaken. I simply asked if there was a programme which filters out SINGLE games instead of having multiple ones. In other words i didn't want to sit there for ages pulling each individual game into a folder whilst checking on the list which one works. This would take a while.

I simply asked a question and got an answer like the one above.

In future i don't think ill bother to ask.
