Vimacs: It was just a joke. Seems like nobody laughs... I tried contacting him already. And even if I could find him, N64 Emulation will not be possible on GP2X.

It's not really illegal. He's released this data on the Internet. Therefore, we can do pretty much what we like with it.

All "this" at isn'it a bit illegal? Investigating and releasing private data of a guy (and his family) without his (their) permission?

I'm sure it's not illegal, but I've been reading this so far without comment quietly thinking that perhaps it's a little immoral? This poor guy's history (and it doesn't seem to be an entirely happy one) has been plastered all through this thread. I really do love the dedication that this community has, and would love to see some of this work come to GP2x, but perhaps if he does turn up and join this communty, he might be a little upset about this?

Maybe I'm being over sensitive, but it might have been better to have been PMing these phone numbers, relatives details, email and postal addresses straight to Craig (or maybe a small group) to better communicate a considered, polite approach to the man, that is if we do actually track him down of course.

Maybe he doesn't want to be found? :(

Sorry, rant over.

J

Why should someone be upset about that people care about him and his work?

I'm sure he would never be upset in any way about that.
I was thinking more about posting family details, searching telephone directory records and posting it all, collated in one place. I know we can find all this through the internet, I'm sure you could find stuff out about me if you tried. I wouldn't like to be reminded about some things through a forum in an online community I wanted to join.
Particularly concerning the family history stuff, perhaps it could have been a bit more tactful.

As I said, maybe I am being too sensitive. I do have a terrible hanover...

I think once this thread has been solved, one way or the other, it should be deleted, with just the first post and whatever the outcome is posted.

It seems to be the only way to find him halo9. And well, if we can't find him he'll never read that.

Besides, I really think he's dead.

Stop hijacking this therd, only post usefull infomation, you chitchat makes it harder to keep a view over the data.

Could a mod delete all offtopic posts? pleas?

Sorry, I didn't intend to come across as negative. But maybe the moderators could take a review of this thread with their experience once it starts to tail off, with or without a result.

I have received a brief e-mail from Daniella Mangelsdorf. I will PM craigix with what I find out and her e-mail address if she says it's okay to pass it on.

I agree with parag0rn, we should delete the thread after the mystery has been solved.

Perhaps his work was seized by the big N and his dissappearance is due to the fact that he is now part of the concrete foundation of big N's HQ building in Redmond, WA! *realizes his phones are tapped and flees town to avoid own big N conspiracy*

Given that this quite quickly turned into a group activity, should we prove successful, which charity should we ask Craigix to send the fifty quid to?

How about "The National Society for Prevention of Cruelty from Big Videogame Companies to People Who Make Very Good 3D Engines"?
