how's the progress on ssnes Squidge? How's it coming w/ transparencies, vol control, etc. Sorry to press, but I don't think I'm the only one excited to hear about your progress and possibly your next release!!!

On behalf of all people who develop emulators, I give you an answer:

It will be ready when it's ready. If you need to know information about a release or progress, you will be told. If you are not told, then you do not need to know. Asking questions does not make development any faster. In fact, it may even slow it down because authors may feel obliged to answer such questions.

To see what's been discussed about transparencies have a look at this thread. Plenty of ideas in there and a lot of posts by Squidge.

Add this page to your favorites. Squidges Homepage.

And remember that he like a lot of other developers are making their emus in their time.

I'm sure he will reveal his progress when he's ready. ;)

Personally, I feel that people who use 3 exclamation marks in the same sentence don't deserve a reply ;)

But the latest version that was released a few days ago can be found in the threads already mentioned here. The rest will have to wait, as I have a job which also requires sitting in front of a computer most of the day. I know I'm a geek, but even geeks don't like sitting in front of PC's for 24 hours or day. Sometimes we need to sleep, eat, drink, etc and on the odd occasion, we need to interface with other humans  ;)

sorry for making it seem disrespectful, just curious to find out what you've been working on other than transparencies (I'm aware of the thread and the homepage) like vol control or zip support. I'm just a big fan of your emu and am anxious for more. I understand you're busy, and frankly, I figured you'd respond to the post only IF you had time. I do think it's great that you are active on these boards while deving, so thanks at least for the response...I guess

Pratchett fan? Read "Masquerade"? Pratchetrt reckons that the number of exclamation points used by an individual is a good measure of how insane he is!!!

And I agree with him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111elevntyone!!

Well theres a male component, and a female component, which have a nice quick-disconnect interface for data transfer. apparently the male components can be stacked, but its not recommended, and female componenlts can be attached using a double-ended adaptor.

Don't forget that some double-ended adaptors that are used with female components can also be stacked with the male components, although that can cause an overload.

Edit: Typo

Hang on, you make an obscene comment... and correct a typo!
That's a pretty warped mind you got there! ;)

What's obsene about phono sockets?

The only thing I can think you were getting them confused with was gay anal sex, strapons and double ended dildos. If that was the case you have some serious issues you need addressing, or it could be your mind telling you something isn't right regarding your sexuality.

I am! I'm reading one of his books right now. I just read Maskerade recently, and I didn't remember that part... but it had to do with the many exclamation points in the notes, didn't it.

Yes (and curse my misspelling of Maskerade - these hands correct intentional typos before my brain can stop them). The killer used more and more exclamation marks as he descended further into madness.

I'd say I'm sorry for the threadjack, but, well... I'm not.

I heard the sun was bright...

I have the power of a little weather forecast widget in my browser! I know when the sun is bright, or it's raining and everything!

Big Pratchett fan here too. Read all the Discworld novels except "Thud!"

Maskerade was good.
